Any gin drinkers on the board? Gin & Tonic was my go to drink several years ago before I discovered my love for bourbon. Kinda burnt out on bourbon recently and have started getting back into gin.
What's your favorites out there?
How do you drink your gin? With Tonic? Martinis?
There are a couple of my favorites.
And this is a great gin made by Revolution Spirits, just outside of Austin.

Hendricks and Soda is one of my go-to drinks in warmer weather.

Kind of a Hendricks guy... but I’m always willing to try others.
Generally do a gin and tonic... we have been experimenting with some different tonic syrups lately and using fever tree tonic water.
Jack Rudy and the spiced tonic from “the cocktail experiment” here in BR are a couple we have at the house right now.

Is there anything better on a hot day?

Higher tier
Hendricks
Bombay
Hope or inverroche- South Africa only
cheap tier
New Amsterdam
Tanqueray
Hendricks is my favorite, but I usually drink new am the most. The South African ones are really fricking good if you can get a hold of them. I've got a friend from there who lives here now and brings it back regularly.

Mostly Hendricks for me. I go back and forth between gin and bourbon also.
By the way, how did your meal for your group turn out a few weeks ago? You never reported back.

Seagrams and OJ is my go to

Gin is the only liquor I drink. I'm a big fan of Hendricks. But I generally only order it during happy hour when it is 1/2 off. I'm fine with Tanqueray.
My favorite gin is The Botanist, but not many places carry it. Olive or Twist has a really large selection of interesting gins. Many are so good that you don't need to mix them with anything.
Gin and soda is my go-to bar drink. If I get fancy and go martini, I like it with a swirl of lillet blanc and a twist of lemon. Gin cocktails are great too. Anything with lavender, cucumber, lemon, or herb (rosemary, sage, etc.) is a winner. I dig a shaken raw egg type of gin drink too.

Beefeater and tonic with a lime or lemon on a hot summer day

Oryza has been a cool discovery for me... very melon forward.
Gentilly gin from 73 is VERY different, but kinda cool depending on what you wanna do with it.
I think both of these would be fun for anyone looking to discover new things about gin.

I love Nolet, Botanist
But, my favorite bang for the buck is Haydens Old Tom. Its supposed to be a throwback to old tom (or "bathtub") gin, but I find it very flavorful. It is more interesting on the palate, to me, than bombay, tanqueray.
My favorite gin drink is a Tom Collins. For you dieters out there, I like to make a Tom Collins with gin, a lemon, and some crystal lite lemonade. A little water, if needed, to balance the taste.

Hendrick's is always a safe choice. Very good.
Beefeater is actually very underrated IMO. It's cheap relative to the "high end" brands, but I wouldn't pass it up in a G&T or Martini
Bulldog is also a pretty good gin.

I've tried a bunch of them, but I keep coming back to Beefeater for the best price/taste combination also really enjoy Boodle's Gin. I can't stand tonic water. My go to is 2/1 gin/water over ice.

I was beer and wine only, then took up gin a year or so ago. I've tried Hendricks, Beefeater, Plymouth, Bombay Sapphire, Rock Town (Little Rock), Tanqueray, and a few others.
I mainly drink & tonics (Fever Tree), but I've done comparison tests of several straight up. They are all quite different, but none were really bad to me. For G&T, I sort of prefer regular old Tanqueray because it has a lot of piney flavor that comes through. Milder ones like Plymouth or Hendricks are better for a strong martini.
I also got into bourbon in the last few months. Not sure where this is headed.
Negronis (gin, Campari, sweet vermouth) are a good way to enjoy some gin, and you can make a Boulevardier (use bourbon instead of gin) if you prefer bourbon.

I'm not a gin drinker but Nolets is good stuff. My brother always has a bottle he is working on.

City of London, have only found it at Specs (Houston) but we like it better then Bombay Sapphire which use to be our go to gin.

I find Cheap gin is better gin than almost any other cheap liqueur is whatever type of liquor it is.
Gordon’s is fine in a gin and tonicZ pretty good actually.

Few things are better to prime ya for a nice steak than a pre meal martini. Dirty preferred.
My tend to like Plymouth as my martini of choice.
