At one time in the late 80s we had the winningest high school football team in Texas history and the only school to win a state title in 4 different size classes.

The latter may still be true but the program has been in the toilet for a while.

Bogalusa: five young men from Bogalusa endured the Bataan Death March, and another young man was an ace in a day and a double ace flying Hellcat off the Essex.

Claims to have the world’s largest free fair, in reality it’s now 5 days of BS with extra traffic. What kind of fair or festival in SE Louisiana doesn’t sell alcohol?

Depends when you go. I've had pretty good regular menu items there. The attraction when I used to go on Sundays was a boucherie brunch buffet. It had both breakfast and lunch items on it, most of which were outstanding IMO. For transparency, I am somewhat biased. I worked at Russell's across the street for about 5 years. Russell's is co-owned by one of the owners of LBC.
