McVeigh set off a Ryder truck full of nitrogen outside a federal bldg. and the blast demolished the building and 150+ people inside of it.

We’ve had 3 different massive F5 tornadoes run roughshod through the metro area.

Parking meters were invented here.

Small town in Illinois founded in 1857. No stop lights in the entire town. It's 1,300 people. The weekly newspaper has been printed since 1893.

Al Capone reportedly had a few safe houses in the area.

It’s known as “The Peanut Capital of the World”. It’s about 20 minutes from Florida and Georgia. Nothing special, but a pretty good place to grow up.

Nitrogen alone is an inert gas and won't even catch fire, let alone explode.
