Seattle: water to the east, Lake Washington; water to the West, Puget Sound; water running through the middle of the city connecting the two-Lake Union and the ship’s canal. Boating capital of the world.

There were 8 girls murdered there and they made a bunch of shows about it.

We were named after General Lee and no one has said a damn thing about it, and no one will.

My hometown has the oldest inhabited street in America, dating back to 1702.

My hometown is famous for the boxers that have come out of it.
Jack O'brien, Joe Frazier, Bernard Hopkins, Matthew Saad Muhammad... etc. From 1982 to 2015 we commemorated our famous boxers with a statue of a fictional boxer...from a movie.

Finally in 2015 we finally honored Joe Frazier, a non fictional boxer, with a statue.

Highland Park Dentzel Carousel has been in operation since 1909 and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It is the only remaining two-row stationary Dentzel menagerie in the world. That’s pretty unique.

It’s known as “The Peanut Capital of the World”. It’s about 20 minutes from Florida and Georgia. Nothing special, but a pretty good place to grow up.

Portales, New Mexico nor Levelland, Texas is 20 minutes from Georgia or Florida....both are barely within 20 years of Georgia or Florida. Both claim to the Peanut Capital of the World although Portales and New Mexico produces very few peanuts today. Sandhill cranes, Canada Geese and Ducks LOVE them some peanuts though...
