Have not been there in years. My daughter was there recently and took some photos of my old house. Lived on Virginia Ave.

My hometown of Arnaudville has a fun beer brewery named Bayou Teche Brewing and a pretty good restaurant named Little Big Cup. It's a very small town otherwise.

It was going to be named "Geneva," but then they decided to name it after a village in a poem.

Oldest public college in Alabama.

Founded as a women's college; it, like the rest of town, was occupied by Union forces. The president of the college forged a letter from Lincoln to instruct the occupying force to not touch the building (Founder's Hall). Still stands today!

It's by far the smallest city in the country to have a professional sports team.

It’s known as “The Peanut Capital of the World”. It’s about 20 minutes from Florida and Georgia. Nothing special, but a pretty good place to grow up.

Peanut Capital of the World!!! Heck yeah! Peanut Festival every year too.

My last visit to the wonderful city of Dothan was to visit my mother back in August. Unfortunately, it was during that visit that she passed away unexpectedly. I'm just glad that I was able to be with her for that last week and right up to her last breath.

Haven't made it back yet, but I need to get back down to Houston County to visit my brother and his family. He's the minister at the church of Christ over on Honeysuckle Rd.

Yes sir. Dothan is definitely known as the Peanut Capital of the World. Those NM and TX towns don't have the peanut idols placed around town to prove it like Dothan has.

Pretty much, especially if you make a right turn from the course heading south and east. You'll be in a pretty bad area quick
