Very high murder/crime rates, terrible roads, culture of binge drinking and eating heart killing foods, floods, no seasons, terrible schools, terrible infrastructure, toxic air quality, and hurricanes.

It's Baton Rouge...I live in Baton Rouge.

Home to the second tallest native american mound in North America. Before it was used for bridge approaches in the 30's

We have 4 tunnels for cars and pedestrians...maybe 10-12 if you count the railroad tunnels.

We have a statue HONORING a convicted rapist who was lynched off a bridge.

He was "exonerated" by a liberal judge over 100 years later without a shred of evidence proving the jury got it wrong.

Memorial to a convicted rapist....and liberals wonder why we consider them warped.

Ed Johnson never raped another woman.

It’s not my home town but it’s where I live. The birthplace of Coca-Cola, RC Cola, Nehi sodas. The home of AFLAC, Toms Peanuts and Realtree.

If not for the interstate, it would be just like White Castle at this point. Donaldsonville at best.

While a city of near 90,000 residents, we still do not have our own zip code nor post office, so we are not officially a city recognized by the USPS

Fairhope, AL is one of two remaining Single Tax Colonies in the US

quote:

The people who founded Fairhope were not able to create a true single tax community as defined by Henry George, but they attempted to come as close as they could. They acquired land in the name of the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation (it was called the Fairhope Industrial Association until 1904), then leased the land to those who wanted to use or live on the land. Lessees have a 99 year renewable lease on the land, but have ownership of improvements on the land.
