I've got two kids there right now. They have both enjoyed it and it seems that they are getting a good education. Party scene seems to be more subdued than what I experienced at LSU.

This is true. Not saying there isn’t a party scene or drugs but nothing like an lsu, bama or ole miss just a smaller percentage of students.

I heard its actually a pretty good school to go to. I think they have a pretty good engineering department.

Starkville is in the middle of know where.

Are you being sarcastic?

I think the opinions of MSU were quite favorable.

There were, of course, a few smart aleck comments, but MSU comes across as a solid school from most of the views expressed on this thread.

They actually do. It's on a list of possible schools for my son who wants to go into aerospace engineering, and I would be completely fine with it from all the people in that industry we've talked to about it.

Entrance requirements for Ole Miss and Miss State are identical by law.

Not back in the day, when Otis was romping with Debbie Reynolds.

In fact, many meteorologists went to school there or Oklahoma I believe. Like

Yep, two of the premier meteorology programs in the country. I considered going to MSU to study meteorology but decided that wasn’t my path.
