I see the difference as soft cost versus hard cost. For Ukraine, I think of it as all soft cost, which is bad. We just gave them money to do with as they pleased. We also gave them weapons which to me are sort of a hard cost because we have to replenish those at a cost to us not having them anymore.

I look at the "blockade" and associated bombings more as a hard cost. By hard cost I mean to say we are spending that money no matter what. If a carrier group is doing exercises with Japan or blocking the Strait of Hormuz we are still paying for those soldiers to be on active duty and feed them and run the ships and aircraft associated. When you go to the beach in Destin or 30A you see the fighter jets doing their daily exercises. These are costs that the military has everyday in peace and war. However, when its conflict time, these are labeled as "extra costs". I would agree that some if not most or the ordinance used is extra because it has to be replaced. But we expend ordinance everyday during training exercises.

All of that to say, when we are active in conflict, most of the associated costs were already going to be expended by the peace time mission. However, just sending pallets of cash to another Country is fully extra costs.

Did two this week. The first was about 3.5 hours and they conferred the degrees after everyone walked. The one today was about 2 hours and they conferred the degrees before anyone walked. At that point, I was like lets go, she has the degree. But we stayed until the end. :banghead:
Outside wedding of my nephew. Midway through the service my uncle lights up a cig.

is making hay since winning with his brother. Did well last week with a top 10 finish and has the 54-hole lead this week. I thought he was riding Matt's coat tail but seems that he is pretty good on his own.

Not sure if it's the dead eyes or facial structure but this pic reminds me of Brit Brit with her knives dance.

Agreed. They still make cloth diapers. A bitch to clean, but reusable and eco friendly.
Not an expert but typically for out of State car purchases, you pay taxes for and to your State or City or residence and not the State/City of purchase. Registration would also be to your State of residence. The dealer should handle the paperwork and send to your State.

If private purchase, the taxes should be the same but I'm not sure about title work. You might have to do the leg work on that.

Experience, we bought a car in Mississippi and titled in Baton Rouge several years ago.
I guess Covington or St. Tammany DA does not know how to grift this.

Several years ago, I got a ticket up in Madison Parish for 72 in a 55. Within a week or two, I got a letter from the Madison Parish DA's office. It told me my fine for speeding ($185 I think) and explained how a moving violation could go on my record and could cause my insurance to go up for several years. Then explained that if I read the attached letter and checked off that I understand the items, sign and send a separate check made out to DA Traffic for $175, the violation would be reduced to a non-moving violation.

I felt like this was straight up extortion, but I sent two cashier's checks with the letter. :banghead:

Who's the dude in the orange dress? Your "WIFE"?
After seeing this thread, I binged the whole series. While it was good, it followed the same story line as many others. By the second ep I thought I knew who the bad guys were going to be and was correct. I had another issue with it that many of the same type shows have, but that is a discussion for another day.
The real "eye opener" is how bad those painted eyebrows are, DAMN.

Not knowing all info; it could be to get a sign on bonus there are only certain slots.

When I joined the weekend warriors, I could have picked any MOS in the Unit, but only three were available for tuition exemption or so I was told. Didn't want to be a clerk typist, nor a fuel man so I took option 3 - 82B. I think its 51T now. Led to a career in engineering and college paid for. :usa:
40 years ago somebody stroked out and ran over a bunch of people at the Festival. Was not a good day.

For FED and State stroking $45k+ check(s) for last year and Quarterlies went up another $3k. :banghead: :banghead: :usa:

My accountant said it was a good year, :doublebird: him.
While impressive, how many season tickets did we sell last year?

Is this 3000 new requests in addition to last year, or total?

Part of the dues.

PB has the 750-800 package that is now included in dues like everyone. It also has an additional 300-350 package, as I believe all the signature floats have, that gives it special PB beads.
