I don't blame him for leaving, he took too much heat for losses

I fully expected him to transfer, but figured it would be after spring practice.

Can you add anything more?

Seems premature. I am not upset about it, but after the bowl game would have been nice.

Brian Kelly leaving ND didn't show his character but when a player decides to leave it shows his character? You guys are hypocrites

It’s a bad look for Max. Dad probably realized he wasn’t quite the phenom he had hoped. And those miscues with the ball, I was ready to see him cut from the team on the one he through backwards

The bowl game is meaningless. Who cares

I’d argue it’s one of our most important games in 2 years

And the OP explained why it’s not meaningless for our program

Also the character of his family to allow him to do this. By him opting and going into the portal now before the bowl puts LSU and Garrett Nuss. in a bind. Now LSU has to either ask Garrett to burn his redshirt or LSU rolls with a walkon at QB.
I agree with you but they don't care. It's every player for himself these days.

Quitters are going to quit when it’s convenient and could care less how it impacts others. Bye!!

If his brother doesn't sign early, then the cat's out of the bag. It would be obvious that point.

Dude is soft as frick. He wasn’t guaranteed to be the starter next year and he chose to take his ball and roll instead of get better and compete. Not the kid you want leading your program. I’m good with this outcome.

He missed a very easy throw to Jack Bech with less that two minutes left that would have pretty much sealed a victory against Alabama. That loss was on him.

Does anyone know where they are leaning?

They are a package deal.

With Max out the way, what would be the point of the redshirt?

Umm, everyone here has been crying about the national media’s coverage of BK leaving Notre Dame. This is no different, the kid needs to do what’s best for him and his future. Half the people on here wanted him benched anyway.

Wish the kid good luck and move on.

Kid is a quitter, no room for players like that on Kelly’s team.

Say what? If Max stays until after the bowl game his brother still could have decommited.
