We have not regressed. We were never in the discussions prior to 94 and we have been ever since. Things do need to change and talent ID needs to start younger. We lost to Turkeye with 9 players that had yet to play meaningful minutes or at all. I felt we should have played our starters as always. Belgium was motivated and felt they were done wrong with the reversal of the red. They took that personal and finally played like we expect a team with that talent to play- we played terrible and that only made the optics worse.

It sucks to lose but even more so in that fashion. That being said, we continue to evolve as a team and will only continue to improve. Proud of their efforts and yes, it will be a long 4 years.
