I'm staying in Olive Branch. Still trying to figure out where to park in Oxford though. Parking passes are astronomically high online right now.

Why are people way less excited about the MLB draft than the NFL draft?

Most people have never heard of the vast majority of high school kids being drafted & very few people getting drafted will ever see the field of an MLB game.

Pensacola to Charlotte flight arives 11:04, connecting flight leaves 11:43. Any chance we can make that?

It's certainly possible, but my connections in Charlotte are typically quite a long walk to the next gate in a different terminal more often than any other airport. Make sure you review the airport layout ahead of time & know exactly how to get to the connecting gate before you get off the plane.

Charlotte is also the only airport I've been in where they wouldn't allow us to board our connecting flight even though the plane was still at the gate & remained there for 30 minutes after we arrived at the gate. I suspect they gave our seats away because they thought our flight was gonna arrive later than it did, but all they would tell us is that we would be rebooked on a later flight, which ended up being 7 hours later.

So basically, going to lose my spot so they can relocate other people,

Probably so if your spot last year was a non-renewable pass.

Were last year's season passes handled the same way as this year?

No, the construction project in TDV2 has resulted in them having to relocate many people that had the same reserved TDV2 spot for the last several years.

They're just now getting around to that relocation process this week.

Has anyone received their season tickets yet ?

No, those won't be available until mid-late August

I had someone text today saying they have 4 Texas tickets i could buy,

Did he say that they were already in hand? Many people sell tickets well in advance of actually having them.
We've had season passes to Hurricane Harbor Splashtown for several years. My teenagers really enjoy it.

it would be an absolute nightmare to confirm tickets before establishing location.

LSU historically provided exact allocation quantities to season ticket holders confirming their away game tickets so that people knew how many tickets they'd be receiving vs. what they requested. Specific seating locations were assigned at a later date.

That's all that needed to be provided by the self-imposed June 10th date LSU publicized, but clearly that has not occurred yet.

This was in the LSU away game request info:

Notification of Ticket Allocation: Once the ticket request submission period has ended, our team will review all requests and allocate tickets accordingly. You will be notified via email by June 10th regarding the status of your request and whether your tickets have been secured.

re: When are rv passes distributed?

Posted by LSU on 5/21/26 at 12:50 pm to
They have not even allowed several TD Village 2 pass owners to renew theirs yet that are normally part of season ticket renewal process.

LSU is still determining the construction impact to several RV spots before they decide where to reassign those RV season pass owners.

I wouldn't expect single game RV passes to be available until that is resolved first.
$100 is the most I've won on a scratch off ticket. It was many years ago at a gas station on Acadian when they were only $1 each. I exchanged it for 100 scratch off tickets thinking I was bound to win at least $100 with 100 new tickets. I was mistaken. Haven't bought a lottery ticket since.

I have an employee that won $3.2 million on a scratch off ticket in North Texas back in 2020. She took a lump sum, which was like $1.7 million before taxes. She's still my employee today.

It'll end early Wednesday morning since the 14 seed plays the last game Tuesday night, which rarely starts before 9 PM.

An hour is definitely enough time at IAH. It's not CLT or ATL.

I've heard it mentioned on basketball & baseball broadcasts countless times. Never actually used it myself though.
