Every fan base has its mix of racists,liberals, conservatives, etc. But as I recall, LSU's hiring of Trent Richardson didn't bring out the KKK in LSU's fan base. He was accepted because, at the time, his record spoke for itself. My take on Tate is not as a black man, rather, it's his well published agenda of pushing his theories on CRT. Period. There are many white liberals with the same agenda. I'd be against any of them as well. The term racist is so overused it's basically meaningless now.

I don't care what color Tate or any other president is, they have absolutely no business in the decision making of the next head coach and I don't care if he is Woody's boss...

Franklin's problem is the dorm rape incident at Vanderbilt. It was handled very poorly, similar to LSU's situation, and Franklin was gone at the first opportunity. It amazed me with all of Penn State's issues that he got the job. Guess he came cheap.

If you understand anything about the masochistic nature of Alabama fans and media, you will see that Saban was always going to be a good cultural fit at Alabama. They love that he abuses them.
The only knock against Saban going to Bama was that he wasn't one of "Bear's Boys." However, when they were hiring, it was obvious that if they could get Saban, he was what they were going to be looking for. And, that includes the big boosters who knew he would tell them to pound sand when they tried to interfere.
He wore out some of his welcome here at LSU with his constant flirting with the NFL and how he treated the media. Neither of those things are a problem in Tuscaloosa.

So, in other words, Franklin & Tucker are out. At least if the baseball search is an indicator with Corbin and Sullivan being tossed around fir the majority of the time.
