Woodward needs to stand firm and hire his guy. Tate didn’t hire him doesn’t have the backing of many alumni.

Franklin isn't a culture fit at all . I'm going with the approach that it's not the first couple of names that get floated.

what’s wrong with Franklin? He’s a legitimate candidate.

Most of the alumni didn't back Tate, either. When has that stopped LSU from doing stupid shite recently?

Like I said in another thread, IF wokeism is playing a part in this hire and IF we don't get the top shelf, why would we go with Tucker over Aranda? Aranda is a BIPOC and has a better resume than Tucker in college. Plus he has history here and if he didn't jump for an NFL DC job, he's likely made his bed in college. He also has history in our recruiting region and is doing fine this year.

LA elected JEB. The LA governor put his liberal supporters on the BOS. Politics will push this hire.

Moscona was talking about one of the reasons this didn't happen last week was because the President and AD couldn't agree on the buyout. The President didn't want to pay it, and AD did.

As we all know, they are paying the buyout.

Just saying...in terms of Tate wanting to be involved. He can be involved all he wants, but that doesn't mean he's going to get what he wants.

I would like to think that at long as Woodward is quiet in light of all of the supposed leaks, there wouldn’t be anything to worry about.

Going off of your IF I would also add why would Woodward even want to remain as AD here IF he gets tied up like this.

if our boosters refused to pony up for the new coach salary, they can put Tate dead in the water on this hire.

JF’s Title IX history is worse than Les and O

Four Vanderbilt football players were arrested on August 9, 2013 and charged with five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. They took graphic photos and videos of the rape.BuzzFeed reported that Franklin encouraged a player to delete graphic footage of the rape after viewing it. Franklin denied the accusation. In court testimony, Franklin admitted to changing his story about whether he told Vanderbilt players that he had viewed a video recording of the incident.

My issue with Franklin is that he isn't NEARLY as good of a candidate as some people think he is (based on actual history at a major program) and he's going to demand to be PAID like he has those sorts of skins on the wall.

If Tate were white, for some reason I dont think there’d be nearly the preemptive melt about his involvement as there is now.

And there is this. Franklin has, somehow, avoided annual scrutiny for that crisis. There's no guarantee this will continue.

Franklin is a good coach and I wouldn't be unhappy if he's the guy. I don't think he leaves Penn St though. He's from PA and Penn St is a great program with a lot of history and fan support.

As for Tucker, I just don't see anything that tells me he is a great hire. He's been a HC barely 2 seasons combined. He's a very good defensive coach so I don't think we'd have to worry about the defense if he's hired.
