You stupid racist frick, the only thing LSU fans are trying to avoid is hiding a guy BECAUSE of his race. If he’s a great candidate, who fits, and wants to be here and it happens to be a black guy, literally NOBODY would give a shite. However, if they hire a person just because of their race, that’s fricked up

So frick you for trying to paint LSU fans as racist

I wouldn't either, but he turned down the NFL to stay at ISU so I just can't see LSU competing with an NFL job.

Why do you think he would be a good fit at LSU? Have you seen some of his post game interviews?

Of course they wouldn't. Certain people have been melting about Bill Tate since the second he was hired and craft some racial angle at every turn they can. It's really sad how race-obsessed they have gotten and it's beginning to pollute their sports opinions.

It’s a shame that people are nervous regarding Tate’s involvement. People are assuming “He is making Scott hire a black guy”. Which he isn’t and can’t do that! He wants a clean hire and wants the search to be diversified. And there is nothing wrong with that. Some are showing there true colors here.

Oh so if F king Alexander, who is white and currently more hated than Tate, were still here and the media was saying he wanted to make a diversity hire we would be ok with it because he is white?

you racists are hilarious

There was plenty of melt, deservedly so for F Kings meddling in retaining Miles. Woke meddling never works, or S Africa and the US urban centers would be utopian Meccas for all.

People in this fanbase has trashed black/minority leadership for years in multiple instances. I’m not the least bit surprised.

Stop making shite up.

If it was a conservative black guy as president no one should be saying anything

The guy has a academic history involving critical race theory a mile long and lsu reporters are saying he wants to be involved and hire a person of color.

THAT AND ONLY THAT IS WHY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT.

I am told Fickell has said no at this point. The two names are likely Franklin and then Tucker.

For everyone freaking out over a potential forced minority hire, it sounds like Fickell was one of the first calls made. I have no info, but I seriously doubt he's the only person that Woodward has contacted (indirectly of course) at this point.

Just like no posters had a clue what Woodward was doing in his baseball coach search, no one knows what's going on now.

This I agree with. Woodward has a list and has probably, most likely, already started from the top weeks ago and he's just going down.

Franklin is pretty supported as a lead candidate. Do you think posters just don't know he's black or something?

Aranda is very supported as well and he's BIPOC.

Considering that there is still an inherent level of ambivalence towards the idea of wanting a diversity hire in either scenario, you didn’t really help yourself there.

Tate though is Scott’s boss, would lose a power struggle with Scott. Woodward and the folks that are paying for this buyout hold the cards here. Tate can be involved but he isn’t forcing shite

I’m talking about at LSU. Not the coaching candidates.

Oh yeah if we go with Tucker over Aranda I will M-E-L-T. There is no logical or rational reason to pick Tucker over Aranda. None. I'd need to see/hear an actual recording of Aranda turning down the LSU job to not go nuclear.

All this. Plus Franklin screams 2013-15 Les Miles where you’re stuck in between good and bad with seemingly no out.

I wonder if maybe Aranda prefers a west coast job, but he’s gotta be higher up the list than Tucker or some others.

Lying racist pussy

People in this fan base have trashed white leadership more and it’s not even close.

You just only focus on when it happens to a black person because you are racist.

You mean it’s a problem that I don’t want anyone to be hired based on their race?

Like I said, you fit the definition of a racist.
