In one of Kiffins pressers he was asked about how bad the o-line was last year and he straight up said it wasn’t all their fault. He said RBs still need to run.

Where did you expect LSU to be ranked with a new coach and many new players after a mediocre season last year?
Not behind a team that lost arguably their best coach in program history to LSU and replaced him with a drunk as a first time HC. The same team that lost valuable pieces in the portal, and basically their entire offensive staff.
But yes they are meaningless

Use Claud code for my business. Have models built for business analysis, appointment auditing, inventory management, etc.
All running in the background with scheduled reports whenever I want. It’s allowing me to eliminate a lot of those additional platforms and systems I used to pay for. All with customized usage exactly how I want.

Disney views itself as too big to fail. And they may be right.
Im not so sure. Read "Built to Last". It examines companies that have stood the test of time vs competitors in the same space. Disney is one, and these companies are successful due to the philosophy and vision that set the apart from others.
Its pretty clear Disney is slowing moving further and further away from the vision and philosophy the company used to have.
re: Continuing on my work theme…how many people have you had to fire/lay off in your career?
Posted by More beer please on 8/5/26 at 12:49 pm to sidewalkside
Fired only the ones that brought it on themselves for whatever reason. Never lost anyone I wasnt ok replacing either. Its way easier when they do some malicious or dumb shite. Parting with the genuinely nice ones that simply couldnt meet the standards are the most difficult conversations.
Only ever managed or owned private businesses so no layoffs or cuts due to corporate decisions.

So you go eat at a restaurant and they present the bill, did you not you create a debt by eating? And now you are obligated to settle it.
Im sure there is ample signage indicating they dont accept cash.
Why do we want governments dictating private business policies?

Why should you be forced to accept cash as a business owner if you dont want to accept it?

Losing the best head coach in the history of your program, your entire offensive staff, a few key players, and having a drunk as a first time head coach has to matter.

who, here, in this conversation has issues with small business making a profit?
This conversation? I don’t know. I know plenty of people that view particular industries as places where they view businesses being profitable as a negative.

Build it into your pricing. It's not complicated.
Build an unknown increase in cost into your pricing model. Yeah just raise your prices while every consumer is complaining about the price of everything currently.

Who has issues with a small business making a profit?
The same people that complain about PE/corporate taking over everything are the same ones complaining about small business pricing.

It's called the cost of doing business.
Do some of yall not realize the “cost of doing business” continues to go up. Yet consumers act like small business aren’t allowed to make a profit. If they don’t, you will be left dealing with corporate for everything.
Credit card usage by customers has taken an exponential increase. CC companies started charging fees just to hold and tokenize the card info on top of the fee to run the card.
These companies change rates and increase fees without notice to the businesses all the time. 3% may sound small, but now has a much larger impact than it used to. Small business often run at 15-20% profitability with a lot running less than that. 3% is a lot more money than you think it is to that business.
re: Business owners - how much are you charged for debit card fees?

Imagine if a business was forced to survive with -3% profit.
Well a 3% change is a shite ton when a lot of industries are barely running at 10-20%.
And yeah debit has a smaller charge than credit and credit card companies started charging the business for storing the cards too on top of the rates.
So that’s why people are “passing” on the charge. You can get around most laws surrounding it by giving a cash discount instead.

Maybe that’s the majority, I don’t know. But I can tell you most of the dads I know do way more than the previous generation.
More than half of what you listed I do, not her.
