Fedora would wreck shop at LSU, and fans would fall in love with his offenses.

I like Fedora a lot.

It really is laughable how our fanbase gauges prospective coaches. If you dont have a top 10 team or win 12 games, you suck.

If I had a gun to my head, I'd rather Fedora over Mullen

Don't get the hate for fedora. He's exceeded expectations pretty much everywhere he has been. UNC wasn't in great shape and he's done very well there. I'd say jimbo Herman fedora then O. If they can't get first 3 guys then O has done enough to get the job

If Fedora and O are the #2 and 2b choices please baby Jesus don't let Jimbo say no.

agreed. Rick Trickett coached here before so I would presume Jimbeaux would bring him.

Ensminger would probably agree to take an administrative or player personnel job.

as assistant making 2 mill? that is absurd

On the surface it sounds absurd. But he has created a new market value for DCs. What he has done with our D this year is amazing. Just go back and rewatch our D against the number one team in the land this year. Even with our limitations on offense we would have beaten any other team besides Bama that night. He will be worth it!

3. If Herman does want Aranda as a DC, why do assume he would leave for a lateral move?

It would be very similar to the 'Kiffin to LSU OC' rumor. It just doesnt make sense to leave what he's already built up, plus the talent level, to go to a less optimal situation.

What is it you like? if you are making excuses for a coach, you don't have one.

Ask yourself this. If UNC played in the same division as Louisville, FSU, and Clemson, do you think he even sniff's a division?

He has lost to South Carolina and Georgia the last two years, he would not even sniff the weak east.

He has beat ONE team that will finish in the top 25 the last two years. FSU this year.

His three losses are against teams currently not in the top 25.

I will not go into the shambles he left Southern Miss in.

hey, dos.... Fedora won 12 games in his 4th (FOURTH) year at USM... meaning that was entirely his team. To say he can't recruit is just ludicrous. Ellis Johnson was the train wreck that followed, not lack of players.

UNC's 2017 class is ranked #20 by 247 recruiting right now.

Would I be excited about him with guys like Fisher and Herman out there? Not really. But, let's at least talk reality.

Maybe he can stick around as a recruiter and work along side Austin Thomas until he wants to hang it up for good? Just make up a title and do what Bama does with 'consultants.' He does have strong connections in N. La for recruiting purposes.

I really dont understand the Aranda maybe to Texas deal. Can someone explain this to me???? A few things:

It could be something similar to what's going on with Coach O. Having a staff/coordinators lined up and agreed on before actually being offered the job. It's a little different though because O is using his list in an attempt to get a vote of confidence from Alleva, where Texas would be the one pursuing Herman.

Fedora with his loud evangelical voice would annoy me over time and probably others. He reminds me of an offensive version of Tommy tuberville . A guy you don't really like, and the first sign of adversity people would Turn on him .

Texas is a worse situation than what people can ever imagine. Aranda would be walking into immediate expectations and a bat shite crazy boosters in suits, boots and cowboy hats overlooking your ever move. Texas has to get a grip on their boosters.

I think Les wanted him the year before but Aranda didn't want to leave after 2 years.

Les wanted him the year before, but Alleva was sticking that Les Miles clause in all deals back then. he stopped that with the new deals/ extensions signed in 2016.
