solid points. Heard the same thing in bits and pieces from the few folks i talk with. I hear a lot of shite would have to frick up for LSU to hire Fedora. I wouldn't be exactly thrilled if that card has to be played by default. I am ready to see Jimbo in a purple or gold tie addressing the media with aranda by his side.

I'm note sure who brought in Aranda, but somebody deserves credit for that.

I'm pretty sure it was Les.

I think Les wanted him the year before but Aranda didn't want to leave after 2 years. Not saying that this is what happened, just my guess.

But he shite the bed in 2013-2014. I see your point, but Fedora doesn't excite me.

There is no fricking way that O wasn't let in on the initial thinking we he took the job as interim. He had to have been told it's Jimbo's if he wants it, that's who we are going after. If shite falls through, you got a shot

I really dont understand the Aranda maybe to Texas deal. Can someone explain this to me???? A few things:

1. Texas hasnt fired their coach
2. If Texas fires their coach and they get Herman, how do we know that Herman even wants Aranda as a DC?
3. If Herman does want Aranda as a DC, why do assume he would leave for a lateral move?

that was at the height of the scholarship reductions from the Butch era.

He actually just signed his first full class at UNC last year.

I'm now wowed by fedora either, but meh is much more preferable to me than the certain doom of keeping O.

I wouldn't even call it a lateral move currently

They are extremely melodramatic. Fedora is a good coach. Sure, i have concerns, but not near as many as with O

He is a good but not great coach who is winning at not the most football friendly environment and basketball school. Tough to win consistently at UNC even though they certainly try to play lip service that they actually care about football like they do B ball. His teams seem to be disciplined. They lost to an excellent coach in Cutcliffe and Duke. So what? It happens. And he has a connection to Alleva. I would put him third to fifth on any list. But when a coach is on a list for a top 5 job like ours they bring some value to the table at the very least.

I don't get that either. Hmmm, stay with a monster defense that will propel you to new heights or go coach a dumpster fire of a defense because you used to order Domino's and watch movies with Herman.

If Aranda follows Herman to Texas, I will lose my shite. Aranda is the key piece in all of this, to me.

i don't really think people understand the shitty situation fedora inherited at unc. he would do well here and would most importantly get our offense going.

I agree. He would have less talent to work with. Essentially starting over

Fedora was dealing with probation and scholarship reductions when he got to UNC, which isn't the easiest place to win big anyway. Last year was their best season since Mack Brown was there.

Now he doesn't necessarily excite me either, and I have concerns about his offensive philosophy, but I don't think he'd be the disaster some people do.
