Clyde Edwards-Helaire Sends Out Message On Social Media After Being Waived By The Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs waived former LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire on Monday. Per Yahoo:

Edwards-Helaire had a standout rookie season with Kansas City in 2020. He tallied 1,100 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns as the featured back for a Chiefs team that went 13-1 in a COVID-shortened campaign and advanced to the Super Bowl won by Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Edwards-Helaire played three more seasons with the Chiefs and won Super Bowls in each of the last two seasons. But his role and his production dwindled in each season after his rookie campaign, and he lost his starting job in 2022 to then-rookie Isiah Pacheco.

The Chiefs placed Edwards-Helaire on the non-football illness list Sept. 2 ahead of their season opener, and he has not played in a game this season. Edwards-Helaire previously announced on July 29 the he's been living with PTSD.

That and he threw off Bama defenders who probaly weighed 40 lbs more than him when he had no momentum really going forward. 2x. To get in endzone on bottom of screen play

We'll always have the Bama game. I'll always remember the time he shot a dude who was trying to steal his PlayStation, and then two weeks later played in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.

There’s still a chance he lands somewhere too. If he wants, I’m sure. He may not be RB1 anymore but he’s certainly talented enough to be in the NFL.

The shoestring catch on third down in the 4th quarter was the play of the game. If they don't convert that first down, could have been a different outcome.
