Man, I feel like this one has been a shell of its former self for a while,,,, but it's still odd to hear about two well-known firms closing in such a short amount of time.
And not a merger, not "being acquired" by another firm, just closing.

They are made to spin as we go down the highway.
Just put the vehicle in neutral.
Terrible advice.
Flat towing is vehicle-specific.
Some need the T-case in Neutral while the transmission remains in gear.

Man, the refs have been waaay more involved in this game than they should be.
re: Why did Don Draper sleep around on Betty season 1?
Posted by Contender54 on 1/4/26 at 9:56 am to Ace Midnight
The one that bothered me was when he was sleeping with the surgeon's wife, towards the end of the show's run.
At one point, the surgeon straps on cross country ski gear to get to the hospital during a blizzard, while Don watches him leave so he can go back upstairs and bang the guy's wife.
That ain't right.

Did they say what the probable cause was?
I watched the video, and saw where the sheriff said it wasn't so much new evidence as it was new technique, but I didn't hear what the evidence was (other than a relationship).
Either way, good on the new sheriff for working to do his job. That had to be horrible for her family all these years.

You can also do refills about halfway through the prescription, so you don't have an insurance company delaying the refill until it's almost out,
This right here is enough to make me look into it.

I'm not a fan of wifi appliances, etc., but I will admit to setting the 4-hour delay during a hard freeze so it kicks on at 3 am and moves water through the pipes.

That's what I went with. It's much easier on the fuel mileage.

8 hour haul? Go with a double.
I have a single axle for two 4wheelers (1 adult & 1 child-size), but the majority of the towing is to/from the camp 75 miles each way.

re: LSU Soccer beats Houston Christian 4-1, moves on to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourney

Glad to hear it.
When we took our daughters to an LSU soccer game a few weeks back, the LSU soccer players came over to the stands to talk to the kids and sign autographs.
I'm not much of a soccer fan in general, but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon. I'd go again.

As of now, the flight to ATL is on-time.

re: Kyle Busch loses $10.4m on IUL policies
Posted by Contender54 on 11/4/25 at 9:56 pm to Shepherd88
Alright, I'll admit - I had to look up "IUL" policy.
According to Forbes
Guaranteed Universal Life
A GUL policy has a death benefit and premium payments that don’t change over time. Cash value growth may be minimal, but it is usually the cheapest type of universal life insurance.
Indexed Universal Life Insurance
IUL offers the potential to change your death benefit and premiums within certain limits. Cash value is tied to a stock market index, like the S&P 500, or a combination of indexes. Policy fees and charges are often high.
Variable Universal Life Insurance
A VUL policy allows you to change your death benefit and premiums within certain limits. You’ll select sub-accounts for cash value investments, which means you’ll need to actively manage this type of policy.
Can anyone give us more input and discussion on this?
