I always root for the teams whose players get mandatory military exemption if they medal. (Looking at you South Korea)

IKEA land is wasting the USWNT so far.

2-0 in the 60th minute.

ETA: Now 3-0.

US women getting utterly dominated. 3 crosses from the right, and 3 goals. It's not fluke goals either, they are working those girls in shots, corners, possession, you name it.

The US Women needed to get their asses humbled.

It was weird to see Rapino being the first one interviewed on the sideline after the match, with a big smile on her face and saying it was great to be at the Olympics. She was upset, sure, but overall it was a crazy positive interview given what just happened on the pitch. Very weird.

She's an anti-American piece of shite, so not all that surprising. Deciding to make that twat the face of the team was the worst decision possible.

most the time the best footballing nations send a B/C u-23 side by their best players in those age beakers have been in let’s say the Euro U21 or the youth world cups

Spain who is bringing 6 players from the Euro semi-final team.

So Cucurella, Torres, Olmo, Pedri, Garcia and Oyarzabal. Plus Ceballos, Merino, and Asencio as overage players.

You really wouldn’t bet on that team over most gold cup teams?

I went from chanting USA at a bar during the 2015 Women’s World Cup to not caring in 2019, to actively rooting against this team here. Honestly, it’s just depressing.

I don’t get why Olympic Soccer insists on giving itself the NIT treatment either.
