Looks like only 3 attacking subs today, so one of them will play the full 90. Unless Arteta decides to bring on MLS as a Midfielder I guess.

Was beginning to think deja vu, but he didn't convert that break point

Don't know if there is enough in the thank for Novak to make another 2-1 comeback, and don't know if Carlos will allow it.

The scales are starting to tip. Alcaraz looking to put a stranglehold on this one.

Novak steamrolled that first set. His serve was on point, dominant forehand, and hardly any errors, then a huge dip in form the 2nd set. Interesting to see how the rest plays out. Will either pick it up and start playing really well, will tired legs from their semi matches start to show.
That was a really really nice goal from Jesus. Holding off the defender, the fake pull back, and then pin point placement.
Very surprised he isn't getting in on the Left already. Unless Arteta is thinking ahead and will start him Tuesday.
Thats the entire team though. Always such a high xG, but very few converted chances.
If Saka is out for Tuesday what do we think seeing Martinelli on the right? Does that shake up anything on the left?

There goes Timber playing center forward again. This guy just pops up everywhere.
They just said 80% possession for Leeds. Woof

Whew, so glad they put away that chance. Was looking ROUGH for a long while.
This has been a bad half. Leeds with almost all the possession, living around the Arsenal box.

Its shite like this that really makes me question if this team can get it done. They switch off all too often.
Since Saka is out it means a greater chance for Eze to come on. Martinelli will come on for one of Trossard or Noni, since we know neither will play a full 90. Might be an opportunity for him to showcase himself on the wing.

btw, the boys need to pick it up real quick. Flat start to this half, Leeds already with 2 chances in the first couple minutes.

I'm happy Arteta hasn't dropped Gyokeres. I think it would destroy his confidence permanently

Oh man, he's got to bury that chance. Nice recovery by Rodon, but needs to be put away.
With how big Keepers are I really don't know why they struggle so much to simply go out and catch a ball in the air where their hands can reach much higher than anyones head can. They have a free path to the ball, because if any opposing player makes contact with them the referee is 99% sure to whistle for a foul.
2 assists for Madueke. Definitely a confidence boost.
I'd like to see Saliba only do 1 or 2 touch, opposition invites him to dribble, and when he gets caught being clumsy with the ball there is a huge gap he vacated.

Don't really have a feel for this match so far, doesn't seem to be much rhythm. Definitely not controlling the match as much as I'd like. Have had heavy touches in the attacking third not allowing any good looks.

You knew it was coming. Can't help but feel embarrassed for Zverev.

Zverev kept flirting with the break going down 30 love game after game

Does the AO still have a curfew, or was that just a Covid thing? Because if the 2nd semi is competitive at all I can see it going past midnight.

I think both players can be commended. The grit from Carlos to tough it out and stick through, and Zverev to not cave when it looks like Carlos has an advantage.

Can still say Zverev has wasted some great opportunities to put a strangle hold on the match when Carlos literally couldn't move, but thats done and dusted now.

Zverev already starting to feel the pressure. One break and hes gonna crumble it looks like.

2-0 5th set lead would truly be a mental test, one starts to believe, one maybe thinks its too tough to overcome

I won't make it, haha

but this one now looks like anyones game. Zverev can maybe eek out a win if Carlos doesn't recover, but Carlos is just as capable hitting enough winners to take it.

He's hitting some crazy winners giving no effs swinging for the fences.

I don't know whats more, amazing that Carlos is hanging in there, or embarrassing that Zverev isn't capitalizing.

Carlos is standing still and working Zverev around the court chasing balls left and right.

Carlos seems to be throwing it in this set. Wonder if he will stick around all the way till the 5th.

If its just cramps can't he waddle around for another 45 minutes in hopes it gets better? Or are we thinking it's a pulled groin?
