I really don't want to see Mexico win. They'll probably win the Gold cup and I'd like to see them have as little momentum as possible heading into WCQ, even if this team doesn't have WC players on it.

Well our bitchy arse women (not all mind you) advanced today beating the Netherlands 4-2 on PKs. Probably end up with Silver after losing to Sweden again in the final.

damn... the USWNT may not even medal this summer?
bronze medal match-up is with Australia... who they drew 0-0 with in group play
it's unfortunate the men's team didn't qualify for the Olympics... but their 2 continental trophy wins this summer has been much more exciting, fun, & interesting than even the thought of the women's team winning a gold medal
and now they might not even medal at all

US women pick up the bronze but even that game they only won 4-3 to Australia. Maybe the next generation of USWNT players will appreciate what they have and focus more on being the best in the world.
