I think the bail system is outdated.

It is much easier to find people in 2024 than it was 100's of years ago.

Besides extremely wealthy people, a person should always be ror'd, and steps should be taken to assure they are unable to flee the country.

You're either: dangerous and stay in jail or you're released, with restrictions placed on you to make it difficult to flee the country try.

It's a money grab at this point.

You’re obsessing over who I could have had sex with 15 years ago. Really sad that you have nothing better to discuss on the political board.

You must absolutely hate your husband and kids to be so willing to air your dirty laundry so publicly.

It can happen to anyone

It is much more likely to happen to some people than others. Once a person has a reputation as a "frequent flyer" at the local jail, they attract much heavier scrutiny by law enforcement and if they are arrested, have almost zero chance of being released on their own recognizance pending trial. It is a natural consequence of being a habitual offender.

You see, you're just being typically emotional in your statements. Just making up lies because you can't defend your claims with truthful and accurate statements.

I used to feel sorry for you. Now I just disdain you. You deserve every bit of ridicule you receive on this board.

I don't think I have ever seen someone put a person down in such an eloquent way.

Do you understand that most arrests are for nonviolent offenses, not murder? You’re operating based on false emotional assumptions.

Sorry I blew up your entire argument.

The right to own an assault rifle isn’t in the constitution either.

Can you define what exactly an assault rifle is and what the difference is between one and a regular old rifle used for hunting?

If I can't own an assault rifle (I assume you mean the big bad AR-15 like all liberals are scared of) can I at least own this gun? It's just a basic Ruger rifle.

Not sure what the relevance of pointing this out is otherwise.

The relevance is you aren’t that smart and say stupid shite because you’re an ignoramus.
Here’s another Matlock, the 14th doesn’t exclude insurrectionist specifically from running for President.
Ain’t that some shite.

What does this have to do with anything?

I’ve never commented on who can or should or cannot or should not run for or be president.

Is the multi-bill a Louisiana thing or is it nation-wide? I remember when I was prosecuting that was a BIG bargaining chip. I’ve been out of the game so long, I don’t know anymore.

"Could" have had sex with you?!?

There's no coulda, woulda, shoulda about it.

You wrote in a post that the guitar-playing (you posted a photo of him playing the guitar) street urchin you brought home with you screwed you and then you got your feelings hurt when he dumped you. Don't pretend you don't remember posting that.

I specifically remember replying to you that you must be a lousy lay if a homeless person would prefer to live on the street rather than sleep in a nice, comfortable bed if it meant you had to be in the bed with him!

I really hit a nerve when I disagreed with your interpretation of the Fifth Amendment.

Do you feel better now?

Nah, my nerves are fine.

But, remind me....is the 5th Amendment the one you say guarantees "criminals are innocent until proven guilty"?

Or, is it the one you claim says "Arms are not guns" but instead, "As everyone knows, arms are those thingies that connect shoulders to the fingers"?

I am in awe of your scholarly constitutional knowledge...

The Supreme Court says otherwise.

You should probably go read Madison’s Federalist papers. Specifically #45. That is where the origins of the 2A originate along with the English Bill of right of 1689.

I’ve chided her for being emotional in the past. It didn’t take.

Chubbies and her ilk are why it took so long for women to be eligible to vote.

Just like the Supreme Court said in 1895 that the Constitution guarantees the presumption of innocence.
