This board having a healthy contingent of Talarico supporters is crazy. Some level of "Paxton made his bed" is one thing, but enthusiasm for a guy who made Walz look masculine and non-predatory is just something I can't wrap my head around.

I try telling people that probably 80% of our friend group is Republican, and almost all of them were voting for Talarico. They had no idea how unpopular Paxton was in Texas

I can understand why people think that from afar, especially since he has some pretty awful clips.
People who know him genuinely like him. I had some friends who went to a private donor thing and he said the biggest thing is to actually listen to republicans to try and understand where they are coming from instead of just hating them.
He is genuinely well liked by people in Texas.
