We’re probably five years away from the GOP telling their base it’s a good thing we’ve adopted these policies that move the party further left in an attempt to appease this new voting bloc necessary for us to win.

Sure, if by merit you mean Musk, von Braun, etc.

There’s ultimately no difference. One just takes longer to accomplish the same ends.
Then you should never vote.
As for me, I will always choose the better of two.
I didn’t much care for Romney at all, but I still voted for him because even if he gave me only 40% of what I wanted, it was still better than Obama who gave me around 10% of what I wanted.

This summary is disingenuous if Vivek only advocates from merit based immigration.
We don't do disingenuous on the poli board.

The GOP knows this. You’ll continue to dutifully kick the can down the road and accept any candidate they place in front of you.

The voters selected the candidate. There are primaries. There are Republicans I favor over other Republicans; there are seldom any, if any at all, Democrats I favor over Republicans. That doesn’t mean I’m 100% satisfied with Republicans.
For you, if you’re black pilled then you’re black pilled.
But I’ll always vote for the better of two candidates.

Which is why people should stop glazing him and realize that he and Vivek are two sides of the same coin.

I dont doubt it, but you cannot deny that Musk himself is an economic driver, and having him in the US is better than having him somewhere else in the world.

To clarify. WvB wasn't an immigrant. Wernher was a WW2 POW who surrendered to us (via his brother as opposed to Russia) and was brought here as part of Operation Overcast-Paperclip.
IOW, he didn't come here to be a leech. He had two options - Russian POW or American POW? He chose wisely.

Elon Musk is a businessman, not a theoretical physicist or an aerospace engineer. He's not Edward Teller or Wernher von Braun.
No other nation on Earth could provide him with the technical knowledge, technological and economic infrastructure, and direct financial support (i.e. grants and government contracts) that the United States of America does. Elon Musk needs the United States, not the other way around.

This couldn't be a worse take. What he has brought to America in terms of jobs and industry is immense. Far more than his net worth. He's probably the best example of a symbiotic relationship with a first gen immigrant. I get that those on the left In their rush to kill capitalism hate him because he better than anybody illustrates that the American dream is still alive
