Thank you for calling this out. And I am not close to being a boomer. But the whiny youngsters whose generation is making the worst decisions since the 60s are unbearable.

I'm pretty sure they are making money off the situation, just because of their reactions to solving the problem.

There handlers won't let them retire. It is the cost of selling your soul to the devil for fame and fortune. They is a price to pay and that price is you are controlled. You get the fame and fortune and they get a puppet. There is a reason this theme exist.

I don’t know if it’s been addressed in one of these threads, but wasn’t Miss Lindsey in Ukraine just yesterday? The minute he gets back he’s dead of a “sudden illness?” Hmmm.

70 is the magic number, huh?

My lawyer is in his 80’s, takes biking vacations in Europe, and is still sharper and quicker than many I know 30 years younger.

One of the icons of my industry started his first company at 55. Built it for 17 years and then sold it. Non-compete ran out and he started his next one at 77. Saw him walking the factory floor when I visited the week before he died at 93.

How about we focus less on a number and more on outright ability?

Gee, if only we had a way to voice and act on concerns about elected officials…

As a 70 year old, physically, I am doing great, but it takes a huge commitment of time to get and stay in shape. Lindsey looked really puffy and lived too much high on the hog. I could see heart attack all over him. Bit surprised, but as to the thread title, at 70, the knowledge I have and the ability to make well informed and correct decisions can run circles around most 3O, through 40 and 50 something's I can run circles around in business, but 60+ year olds are tough. As long as they don't develop memory issues and stay healthy, I'm fine with older statesmen, but at age 80 I start to question "why stay?"

I agree with this. Nothing can replace wisdom and experience.

Yes!! They are greedy and/or protecting themselves from their misdeeds. Some instances, they have a lot of people with a vested interest in keeping them in power like what they did to Dianne Feinstein.

We don’t live in a democracy. We live in a republic.
There is a difference and it’s significant.

Civics. It’s a helluva thing. Learn some.

Senators, Presidents, SC Justices, etc. 80 years old should be the absolute max. One that 80th birthday, Secret Service should pack your shite up and send you home.

Why stop there?

What about putting you on a melting ice floe and pushing it out into the water?

And yet a month ago we were about to go civil war in the LA GOP over whether or not to elect a 75 yo non endorsed person for Republican Senator nominee…

I agree with you and I am 67. These old frickers need to move out.

Ben Franklin was 80 at the Constitutional Convention. President Trump is a 80 and as vibrant as ever. It’s not age that’s the issue. This is a lazy and stupid take, honestly. I know many 20 somethings that are practically worthless. Work ethic and competency are what matter.

No Islamic should be allowed in Congress or any leadership position. It’s unfortunate we have stupid voters out there who elect them.

Here is a fact.

If a person is elected to the US Congress and doesn't self implode the odds of them winning reelection is somewhere between 80-90%. Once they are in office the big donor money flows come reelection time, making these incumbents very difficult to unseat.
