U.S. Sen. John Kennedy sounded off on the escalating battle between LSU and the SEC on Tuesday, delivering a colorful response to the conference's latest legal action.
The SEC amended its federal lawsuit against LSU on Tuesday and requested a temporary restraining order ahead of a meeting of conference presidents and chancellors scheduled for Thursday. The league's leaders are expected to consider whether to terminate LSU's membership, a move that would require a two-thirds vote.
Kennedy didn't hold back when discussing the ongoing dispute.
"I've got rocks in my driveway that are smarter than that," Kennedy said.
