Someone with a BMI of over 30 going down to a BMI of 20 is going to lose some muscle obviously but they are also losing lots of subcutaneous and visceral fat. The gains outweigh any losses in muscle. The medicine is a godsend for morbidity obese people and that’s not really even debatable.

Building preservationists should stop this project. The hotel is historic and should be preserved, not turned into some tacky and gimmicky place.
