Don’t care until they explain what clock that was and why it was different from all the other clocks
user avatar
All the clocks you see on tv and at the stadium are never the official game clock which is kept by the officials.

They were all synced for this game

So Michigan cheated, again. No news here.

What stinks the most is the refs deprived the Western Michigan kids from sharing a memory that would last a lifetime. A memory they earned on the field.
I have to disagree. Those players will remember that game ending theft for the rest of their lives.
That's not something that can be forgotten.

The refs obviously saw 00 and game over because that’s what they called on the field. The Big 10 booth saw this as a time to give a mulligan to the favorite.

Total farce.

How the mighty have fallen. From a title two years ago to rushing the field after beating Western by 1 point after the refs gave them a second Hail Mary.

You can pause both videos and see the one being shown to the fans with one second left is before the ball lands. You can match up the position of the players in the end zone in both videos.
Either way, one of the Big Ten's premier teams needed a late Hail Mary to beat Western Michigan.

Yeah that second video is dishonest. The guy cuts the picture before the clock hits 0:00. Based on what you can see with it at 0:01, the ball hasn’t yet touched a player. IDC what that homer narrator is saying, he’s lying

time is suppose to stop when the ball hits the ground but i can't tell when it does. time should run even if the ball sails over everyone's head until it hits the ground. that is the end of the play. if they stopped the clock while the ball was still in the air that's a shame.

Time is relative to the amount of money you pay the refs

The clock explanation is complete BS. The network gets a data feed DIRECTLY from the press box. When the official clock starts, the clock shown on the screen starts. Been that way for decades.

The refs saw what they wanted to see, what they were paid to see.

I thought FSU got screwed in not making the playoffs a few years ago...this is an all-time screw job! I feel bad for those players and that entire school. They learned that you can do everything right and still get screwed.

I can't blame the Big Ten for pulling that second out of their arse. Can't be having one of your blue bloods straight up losing the home opener to some random off brand team. Not again.

Theft by deception!

It's amazing that no on a position of authority has done anything about this, especially since the college football is so united on this screwjob.

Don't the gumps call that home cooking?

Except when they got the extra second it became the Kick 6.

Always bust out the AI clock when needed!

Saw a podcast where Mike Pereira stated the the clocks were not synchronized. They used the network feed - which was a mistake. Replay officials are taught to use the broadcast feed and the second shouldn’t have been put back on.

Use broadcast feed when the clocks aren’t synced

realistically, it don't matter, b/c Michigan is going to lose quite a few games this season, starting this weekend... Oklahoma is going to kill them... Ohio State is going to kill them, and i suspect there will be quite a few more loses in between those 2
