more often than not you're projecting US issues.

There were indeed some obvious mischaracterizations in his exchanges, but as you view them as rampant, I'd be interested in what you're referring to.

I'm surprised he didn't speak english for the interview. Surely he is fluent in it?

His ability to rattle off global history like he did is impressive. He's clearly extremely intelligent. He also did a fantastic job of painting Russia as the good guys and the "ruling elite" of the west as the bad guys.

Ultra effective message delivery. I giggled when he said thank God the CIA didn't let you in. He made himself relatable. He was assertive. I'm just hard wired to not trust anything any spook from any country ever says.

Me: Putin was only telling part of the whole history, why are we acting like it was a grand revelation of facts no one knew?

You: Oh yea, well Biden is dumb!

duh? but irrelevant to the conversation.

No wonder Putin looks like a genius to some of you. You can barely string two thoughts together.

My ex business partner in the former USSR was ex-KGB and the smooth ways he would lie to someone's face were a sight to belhold.

Plus he had no problems breaking laws, bribing officials, doing whatever it takes to "win". No that is not "good", it's a good way to end up dead or in jail which happened to him 10 years after he sold his shares to me.

I don’t think I have ever seen what you are saying. I have only seen him portrayed as a skilled ex-KGB officer.
Really?
You never heard Potatobrain refer to Putin as a murderous dictator and pure thug?

If you search Putin "thug" vs Putin "shrewd" you'll find the ratio about 5 to 1 respectively.

Well if you consider indiscriminate missile attacks on civilians then I’d agree, Putin is a murderous dictator.

If you ask the friends and family of Y. Pregozhin, I’d guess they’d say Putin is a murderous dictator.

I wonder what Georgians would say? Checnyians?

You can be a murderous dictator and a thug and still be smart and polished. And it really doesn’t take much of anything to look better than Joe Biden.

I understand what you're saying. I really really do. When all this Ukraine shite started going down, I heard bits and pieces of Putin's "defense".
Everyone knows there's always two sides, so I began searching the other side. The more I read and listened to a few of Putin s interviews, then researched what he said..... The picture became clearer and it wasn't the picture I wanted to see. It was hard for me to accept that America, the country I love and believe in, wasn't the shining star I had always believed it to be.
Today, I view anything DC or MSM says very critically which continues to expose how corrupt this federal government is.

this is easy, you come to the table, we all stick to our word, we have global prosperity.

I think that's genuinely what they want

Russia is a country that never had a chance to take off the way Western European countries did. It has bad geography, and the resulting wars, its late entrance into the industrial revolution, and then the Bolshevik revolution, greatly retarded its growth.

No. That ship has sailed. Do you want to hang out with others who treat you like shite and who like and mislead you?
I don't.
Putin probably doesn't either.

Putin is THE classic Russian strongman leader. If he didn't exist, they'd have to create him. Everything good and bad about the Russian strongman-the goonery and thuggery, the unapologetic masculinity, the psychological propensity to victimize the weak, the sober analysis of Western cultural decadence, the lack of regard for Truth, the intelligence and knowledge of art and history. etc.. This is the leadership Russia has always given the world.

I'm not sure what my expectations were of him but this guy is sly, calculated and quick witted. He casually tosses in a few jabs at Tucker along the way to try to assert his dominance over the conversation. Very interesting watch

Putin is a high-IQ, confident KGB agent with full control of an massive region. He rules with an iron fist and absolution.

I'm not sure why people refuse to give him credit and respect, or mistake credit and respect for admiration. He's articulate, educated and ruthless. He is most certainly no friend of the USA, but the exact same can be said about the current fraudulently installed White House occupant and his administration, and 95% of Congress.

I get tired of being called a "Putin Puppet" by mouth breathers here. Dumbasses can't differentiate between their mouths and arse holes. Putin is a master of subterfuge and head games, and a brilliant leader, but I do not like him.

Know thine enemy.
Smart and polished is apropos, but it's not terminology you'll hear emanating from our press or politicians.

There is zero evidence anyone on Potatobrain's team have a clue as to what next best steps are in dealing with Putin. Part of that comes from a sophomoric lack of respect for the man.

Hate him if you want to waste the emotion. But calculate his next move, determine how to beat him. e.g., Rommel vs Patton were adversaries at war, but neither dared underestimate the other. Our press and politicians show no interest in analysis, just accusation.
