Difference is, Biden never claimed to want to lower or bash high gas prices. He loved it so he could push his shitty agenda over to EVs and global warming.

Trump has done a lot of great things in his first 16 months, but this is an unforced error and huge black eye for him. Of course, his ilk won't admit it and come back with the "muh you poors" response

It's just partisan stupidity that cuts both ways

Republicans only care about high gas prices or spending issues when democrats are in charge. Same goes for democrats.

No one is really interested in knowing why gas prices were higher under Biden. It's pretty obvious why they've went up recently. Not as obvious under the Biden administration.

How is war with Iran benefiting me?

The strategic strikes last June were supposed to dismantle their nuke program and like I've said dozens of times, their missiles don't have the capability to reach the US. They are an Israel and Europe problem, not a US.

This board would come out in support of universal healthcare if Trump backed it. Sad state of affairs.

Don’t run your tank below 1/2. A lot easier on your fuel pump, a lot lighter hit on the wallet and you’re spending $30 vs $60.

Hopefully we dismantle them and they install a normal leadership like they had 50 years ago. Then we can quit spending all our money in the Middle East for the next 50 years.

It's those weapons of mass destruction again. They are there. Somewhere. We promise.

I suppose the good news is that most people will forget about it shortly after prices return to normal, just like most did after Biden.

There is very little objectivity on this board. Very few true independents or middle of the road people.

Dems: No matter what Trump does, its evil and terrible
Reps: No matter what Trump does, its the biggest and best thing ever and if you don't agree lock/step you have TDS and are a flaming liberal

Well Scott Bessent, Charles Payne, and other analysts have already come out and said $3 avg gas is here until 2027 due to the conflict.

Have another downvote.

It was higher in 2008, from 2011-2012, and in 2022.

Maybe people more prone to cry on forums instead of having reliable memories or being capable of basic research shouldn’t post here.

Was it the new normal then?

Imagine if you could 6 presidents that failed the American people in stopping the blood American lives and its treasures in the lack of responsibility. How any political hack or news organization look down on the current actions is baffling. The oil costs themselves have taken into threats of all those failures, not to discount all the inflationary factors of money spent because of allowances of a terrorist state such as Iran. You could play what if for days of world activity since in that alone. Still I of course don’t enjoy paying higher prices but a least I speculate that it is but a blip considering what a nuclear terrorist state would do to would economic future

Plenty of people complained about gas prices on here under Biden.

I recall it being over $100 to fill a Tahoe for a period of time under JaBiden

Lots of credit being given to the Joetato in this thread, but Barack Hussein had his period of sky high gas prices combined with shortages, in the style of Jimmy Carter.
