why someone is complaining about gas prices. Are they legit struggling? Or are they just complaining for "other" reasons?
Does someone have to be struggling for it to be a legit gripe?
What if they'd just rather put that extra $100 a month (give or take) towards something else like investments or whatnot

He has 2 months left.

Talk about a lack of self-awareness.

Well lets not be disengenious... Gas was down to 2.15 in Houston back in Jan/Feb right before he decided to do Israel's bidding.
So we had a really good run in the mid 2's for most of his presidency, he just chose to frick it all up.

Of course that can be a legit gripe. And even those people generally don't care WHY the price is high. Unfortunately, most people in this country don't care about anything political... but I'll cede that more and more are starting to.
My point was to separate out the political complaining. Some people (probably most on this board) are complaining for purely political reasons.

All you can do is shake your head at all the sky screaming over what is obviously just a temporary spike. At the end of the presidency, the average gas prices over the four years will still be fairly low.

I dunno. This board is prob 80/10/10 republican to democrat to true independents and the Iran/Gas threads based off of up and down votes come across more 60/40 in favor of Trump's actions.

MAGA sycophants on here saying Biden sucked (he did) doesn’t make Trump sucking any easier to handle. Trump has completely botched this Iran thing and his sycophants on here are trying to divert attention away from it by bringing up Biden.

Was that any different than the Chernobyl melting going on with gas prices under Biden on this board?

If people cut spending in other areas to account for increased fuel spending what do you think that does to the economy?
My point was about priorities and perspectives. A couple weeks ago I used a neighbors Kubota track hoe for a few days. During that time, it consumed 10 gallons of diesel which cost me $5.39 a gallon or $53.90. That diesel fuel was worth $150 a gallon to me, because there is no way I would dig all the dirt it dug up for $1500.

So a hypothetical deflection to defend what exactly?

How much are eggs? Paid 47 cents a dozen yesterday, how much were they for 4 years

Actually gas prices were just a little over $2 in my area prior to Feb. Down $1.20+ from Nov2024. So for a year we had gas prices well below what they would have been under harris (or biden for that matter). We are now paying about what it was under biden. We had 12 very good months and now a couple pretty much the same as it would have been without President Trump. Seems to me that I'm still better off, even paying a little more now.

Paying more at the pump temporarily is better than the “new normal” promised us in 2021.

Hundred dollars to fill up my vehicle. Gas is five bucks for regular in Ohio.
