Yes, took 75 dollars to fill up this morning. Buy hey, I will look on the bright side of things. I'm losing weight because my drinking budget for the month has gone to zero dollars and the wife and I have stopped eating out altogether. I mean, would I like to be able to contribute more to my 401K, sure, but as Ben Shapiro said no one should retire, so I'm not.

I agree with this sentiment. Need to see how the Iran situation fully plays out before deciding if several months of higher gasoline prices is worth it long term. I'm trying to be hopefully optimistic.

We "only" had 5 months out of Biden's 48 where the national average was $4 or more for the month.

Now I'm sure some of those high 3's could be low 4's today counting for inflation, but still...just pointing out it wasn't 48 straight months of gasoline prices like we had for month of April and will likely have for month of May. Hopefully there's only going to be a few months where $4+ is the national average, then get back down to at least mid-3s by end of 2026.

I’m not a Biden supporter, but no we didn’t. We had 1 bad summer after he destabilized what Trump had going and then it leveled out. So Trump may get a pass, but it’s a ballsy move to be doing this in a election year.

The same people sticking I Did That stickers on gas pumps during the Biden administration are now acting like gas prices are no big deal. These aren’t serious people

I really don't understand this level of pussy/cognitive dissonance/disingenuous. We're you making threads thanking Trump when gas was so low? We're you making the threads when Gas was much higher for much longer under Biden? Does it really make you feel better? It's just crazy how much I smell pussy coming from your post. Why not retain just a little integrity and let things play out before doing this

I don't remember you complaining about gas prices when I was paying over $5 a gallon in Oklahoma when Biden was President*.

Refresh my memory. Where were those threads then?

I paid 4.95 a gallon in Houston for a time when Biden was president as he drained our national reserves

You were probably ok with that?

How big is your tank? I only put 93 in the MINI and it takes about $35 to fill up on a quarter tank.

The average person drives 15000 miles a year. Assuming 30 mpg (if you have a gas guzzler it's more, but thats on you) the average person buys 500 gallons a year. If gasoline is up $2 a gallon, that comes to $1000 a year or $83.33 a month. How many of those moaning and groaning about gas prices choose to pay $7+ for a cup of coffee you can make at home for 50 cents.

This misses the point...or perhaps accidentally runs into it. If people cut spending in other areas to account for increased fuel spending what do you think that does to the economy?

Difference is, Biden never claimed to want to lower or bash high gas prices. He loved it so he could push his shitty agenda over to EVs and global warming.

The first thing you need to do is figure out why someone is complaining about gas prices. Are they legit struggling? Or are they just complaining for "other" reasons?

Unless someone is complaining for purely political purposes, then I promise you that no one cares WHY their gas price is high. They only care about the bottom line.

Fair statement, in many cases.

But you have to admit the other aspect as well. Many of those who favor it, would suddenly be against it.
