re: Texas Early Voting Numbers

Dems have big leads in mail-in ballots because Republicans don't trust that process and aren't as afraid to go out in public during Covid.
So if Dems have a lead in mail in ballots and both are equal on in person early votes doesn’t that bode well for the democrats? How do we know the typical Election Day voters haven’t already voted (as it appears by the high turn out) and the republicans are even in votes. Then adding in the mail in ballots wouldn’t that push the Dems ahead?
Again I don’t know how these work so I’m just trying to make sense of it.

I don't know why everyone thinks all the registered dem voters are actually voting for Biden. After his "end all oil industry" speech in the final debate, I think at least a percentage will vote for Trump in a state like Texas. No one wants to lose their good paying oil type jobs.

Texas Early Voting Numbers
Even Texas might go blue.
I don’t see this trending well for Trump.

There is already plenty of data on this for key swing states. Almost 4 in five Democrats have already voted versus two in five Republicans. Democrats do not show out heavy on election day nor have they ever.

Two words on Texas ....

Have you ever seen a more unified effort to take out a president? I can't remember ever seeing more "get out the vote" messages during an election cycle than this year. Not saying that is enough, but I think you're underestimating the push to vote Trump out of office.
I'll say this knowing it's anecdotal, but you reminded me of it. In 2012, the right was pretty fired up to get Obama out of office. I know I was. But it still took me getting scolded by my wife for considering skipping the vote for Romney for me to get up and go do it. As much as I though Obama was a bad president, old bland, boring Mitt almost caused me to just say frick it.

Just poll random state polls where the question of when you intend to vote comes up. They usually show Republicans prefer Election Day voting anywhere from 60-85%.

There's truth to that. You definitely weren't alone and there will no doubt be people like that this go around.

Trump will carry Texas by 2-3% this year. But Dems will pick up many state legislative seats and a few Congressional seats.
Texas is fast becomming a Purple state. It will be that soon.

Probably the most consistently wrong poster on PT, and that says a LOT.
Here's his hilariously wrong prediction on the 2016 election
quote:
Repubs: no one candidate can get a majority of the delegates, so the Convention nominates Romney as a compromise. Romney-Rubio
Dems nominate HRC easily and she runs with Julian Castro. Clinton-Castro
Dems carry every state Obama carried in 2012 PLUS North Carolina and Indiana. Dems regain Senate 52-48. Repubs hold the House easily.

It's been posted ad nauseam on this board that this is different than 2016 because it includes 4 years of hate and rage against Trump. That is what's driving the left vote, not because they want Biden. You could have nominated a dog terd and they will vote for it.
The question is if that hate is enough to drive people to the voting booth.

Im sorry, but how do you deduce Texas turning Blue by simple early voting numbers?

Scruffy has gone off the deep end. Oates Mustache is concerned but not quite at that level.

You could also swap out Nevada to Trump's column for MN or WI.
Not impossible, but realistically if he lost Texas he wouldn't sweep all those swing states.

Robbbobb asks, What the hell is wrong with you lately?
I keep getting this question.
The answer is EXTREMELY simple.
In 2016, Trump was the underdog and no one expected him to win.
It was out of the blue and it was mainly due to the world’s worst campaign.
The Democrats then proceeded to run a campaign against Trump for 4 straight years.
Every media apparatus set against him.
Every aspect of daily life that could be made “Anti-Trump” was.
Despite that, Trump was going to walk into 2020.
Then Covid hits.
The media latches onto it. Turns it into the most destructive, anti-scientific, anti-Trump campaign humanly possible.
This allows them to run a Democratic candidate who is completely demented and shield him entirely.
How?
Because they turned it into the most prolific “anti-candidate” election in history.
People consistently state that every election is like that. True, but none have ever gotten to this level.
On top of that, they push for new voting methods and schedules, which allows for massive vote harvesting and potential cheating, especially in all of the swing states.
In summation, this isn’t a rebuke of Trump. I want him to win.
This is a recognition of the fact that Trump wasn’t facing a force even 1/10th of what he is currently facing during the 2016 election.
This is Trump versus the media (all of them, including Fox), pollsters, the Democratic Party and their massive vote stealing machinations, the intelligence community, every social media entity, every big tech firm, an on and on and on.
Enthusiasm matters when people actually have to get off their asses and go out and vote. I do not think it is a big factor this election because no one has to get off their asses to do it.
And to top it all off, everyone on here reminds me of the 2016 Hillary voters, declaring “landslides” and “red wave”.
I’m voting for Trump, there is no doubt about that, but I think people on here need to mentally prepare themselves for the worst.
That is all.
Oh, and I’m a massive pessimist when it comes to politics and how I view the US electorate.
There is a reason I’ve always been a proponent of reducing the number of citizens who should be allowed to vote.
ETA: That was a long post to say that something was simple.

That's a very fair assessment and people need to lay off of you just because it's not what they want to hear.
I'm also a pessimist when it comes to elections which is why I think Trump will win. Even with everything you posted being true, its just SO HARD to beat an incumbent president with huge base support.
I will be very surprised if Biden wins. Happy, but very surprised.

1) Most people in the states Trump won last time have somewhat returned to normalcy, and will vote for him again. Those in Dem states that went for Trump, understand fully why they are still being suffocated, and will vote for Trump this time
*FYI, most of the people affected by the lockdowns are middle to lower class, who are silently voting for Trump to get them back to work. These people absolutely cannot voice that opinion because of the retards they are surrounded by
2) Trump hasnt lost any votes. Guys like Romney, the Lincoln Project, Bill Kristol, etc didnt vote for him in '16 either
3) The only chance in hell of Biden winning is flipping Penn. But Trump has been working Nev, NH, N Mex, and Minn to offset. If he gets 2 of those those, Biden could flip Penn and Mich and Wisky and still lose

Also, with increased turnout, my issue is that it won’t matter.
quote:Even if he hasn’t, with increasing turnout, he has to gain votes.

That is a far easier task with Democrat vote harvesting.

They are extremely good at cheating.
They pulled Al Franken’s arse out of the fire in 2008.
Also, the massive tech industries will prevent any statement of victory on Nov 3rd, thus allowing the cheating to occur.
The entire system is rigged against Trump and it is magnitudes worse than 2016.
