There may be some credibility to Sheila Jackson Lee's hypothesis.
The Earth and its moon are both terrestrial (rocky) planets. The density of the Earth is 5.5 gm/cm^3. Other known rocky planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars, have densities very close to that of Earth, but... the Moon is lightweight and airy, by contrast-- 3.3 gm/cm^3! That's about 40% less dense than our own planet!
I believe the next generation of aeronauts will travel to the Moon, and drill, baby, drill-- and discover that its interior isn't solid rock or molten iron/nickel, but rather...compressed GAS!
