To me what the homeowner might’ve said in the past has little bearing in the situation. Did they that moment contact him and ask “is someone supposed to be at your house?” If not, they might’ve suspected a crime but did not know for sure..suspicion doesn’t seem enough to make a citizens arrest.

Still doesn't give reason to chase him down. Call the police. Stand watch on your property if you need to, but chasing someone down in the street and shooting them makes you no better than the lawless culcha you are "fighting against"

Yeah I agree completely. If they saw him and chased him because of a possible previous instance, their claims of immediate knowledge weaken. If they don't go armed and simply follow him, none of this happens and no one dies. Or if they just call police and stay at home. No clue what spurred them on to make a citizens arrest.

So if you are not wearing normal athletic attire while jogging, that givess the ok for 2 random men to ambush you with guns drawn in the middle of the street?

Of course. I shot two women in Target yesterday who were wearing yoga pants and had no intention of doing yoga.

Pretty simple concept
And you'd think if this guy has previous experience in law enforcement he'd know that people can act unpredictably when you fricking pull guns on them
These people are both morons and both deserve to be buried under the jail

I don't so much anymore, but when I was living on a busy highway, I used to drive to more suburban style neighborhoods to run or ride my bike. My mom still does this regularly.

Not often, but every now and then, yeah.

while wearing cargo shorts, high top shoes
I do this frequently, tbh

with a hammer?
Absolutely never.

I’m just curious as to whether or not it makes sense to jog where I live or on the other side of I-10?
Like I said, depends on if where you live is walkable.

Question, where does it say he had a hammer? I can't find it anywhere, but no news stories are really doing anything other than emotional appeals. Anynody got a link to the hammer thing?

All true.

Mostly true. I mean, we do get into the motivations of every specimen of criminal who comes along, don't we? In this case, the "morons" (your word, but I can't disagree) created the situation that was avoidable. And the blood is most definitely on their hands.

I don't know but I am willing to concede the fact the guy was a robber who had every intention of breaking into cars.
You still can't shoot him, and if you do shoot him and he dies you rot in jail.
Every gun owner knows the rule
If he is inside your house you shoot if he is outside your hpuse you do not shoot.

Out on a public street and no evidence he was armed - merely brandishing the weapon likely justifies his act in rushing them, particularly boxed in between 2 vehicles.
It is an individual-level equivalent of war - once it starts, you have no idea how it is going to end.

Because you have shite for brains. Literally. That's the only possible justification for defending the shooters...you have to be a fricking idiot.

In light of how reasonable 90% of the people on the OT are about this topic, it's depressing as shite to see this one
But PT, so should know better

Question for the Joggers of Political Talk Question for the Murderers of PT How often do you go around patrolling your neighborhood looking for people you might want to shoot?
Our neighborhood has a pretty vigilant watch group but we're still able to keep peace without arming ourselves......if need be we'll adjust to whatever the criminal presence demands.

He had a shoplifting arrest on his record.
That doesn't mean that a rent-a-cop at a mall, Walmart, or Publix gets to stop him AT frickING GUNPOINT just because he walks into the store.
You have to seriously be one stupid motherfricker to think that the rednecks were entitled to force an encounter with him at all.

The fact there are actually people defending those racist fricksticks is absurd. They are nothing but racist murderers, Jesus Christ this board is pathetic sometimes.
