My old church used to hand out backpacks of food on Fridays at a poor elementary school. They quit because the kids were trying to eat everything out of the bags before they got home because that was the only way they'd get any of the food.

Imagine perpetual motion, then we would have all the energy we ever needed. I don't see the point of imagining things that are impossible. Humans are religion machines, so much so that the people who claim there is no God and reject religion turn that into their religion and persecute people who disagree (especially them actually). Religion is just another term for world view, and people will never stop trying to impose their world view on others.

Considering you never once even attempted to address any point being made by anyone in that thread but instead just complained to the mods and got it deleted, while also saying some fairly nasty stuff, who was acting in bad faith? That thread only spiraled because you can't start a thread that touches on Catholicism without a cascade of that of whining. It's weird, threads critical Islam, Judaism, or other branches of Christianity don't get whacked, just the Catholic ones.

This is dumb. You have to interpret for intent of the law because meanings of words change over time.
Also, it wasnt poorly written at the time, they just ignored what was written. Subject to the jurisdiction is in there, and if you just look up what they meant by that at the time.

The SCOTUS' hands were tied with the language in Section 1, which was based on the 1898 Supreme Court case United States v. Wong Kim Ark. The Amendment needs Congressional work to be reworded, and the states need to pass it. Then there is no choice but to enforce the proper approach.
section 1 of the 14th amendment was based on an 1898 supreme court case? very interesting. when was the 14th amendment passed? passed 1866, ratified 1868.
Also why did you not bold "subject to the jurisdiction thereof", which is the relevant language?
