Nah just trying to give the less fortunate a pat on the back.

Maybe one day your brain will return to your skull.

More emotions.

You ever finish your Trayvon mural in your moms basement? Can I get a high res picture for my desktop background?

You are literally the only one bringing up Trayvon bud.

You can’t call someone emotional and then take emotional jabs without looking like a hypocrite.

Anyways it doesn't effect this case, the only way this is justified is if the truck guys saw him committing a felony *at the time*. That's the only way citizens arrests are allowed in Georiga.

Yeah, they're in it pretty thick. And, Jake is right - the local law enforcement and DA are going to be under a lot of scrutiny after this as well.

I mean, I get it - if there is a sudden uptick in incidents and you "think" you know who did it, the instinct is strong to "do something" about it. But, it's just property and they don't know this cat did any of them (other than the trespassing, which is both pretty clear and strongly suggestive, but not damning and certainly not worthy of the death penalty they imposed).

So, there is all of that.

He was a jogger. He LOVED jogging. Been jogging his whole life. Truly a passion of his, he even had a scholarship to Jogging University. So why would he not just keep jogging?

Would you turn your back on someone pointing a gun at you?

I may die, but I'm going to die fighting.

Maybe you're just a coward.

Their actions can not be defended
You CANNOT chase someone down that is not an immediate threat to you. End of story, nothing else to discuss.
If he was in my home he would likely have met the same fate, but not otherwise.

In Georgia you absolutely can legally.

That’s going to be reality, you should work on acceptance.

Link? Because I call BS. You can't do that anywhere.
If a person is not an immediate threat to you or your family and on your property, all bets are off. If that person is fleeing, you have lost your mind if you think you are going to get away with chasing them down the road and killing them.

To know it was trespassing they would need to know he had no legitimate purpose for being at that property at that particular time. Did they call the home owner before heading out to chase him down?

We don’t know what the homeowner told them.

So what if the homeowner told them he was robbed?

He wasn’t. So they’re still up shite creek.

Again, the initial police report contradicts claims of immediate knowledge. They saw him well enough one night that they could see him reach in his pants, which was the justification they used for grabbing weapons. They thought they recognized him from an earlier incident.
