As long as this doesn't turn into another 2024 "Team Rob! vs. Team Cult45" like we had in the last cycle, I'm cool with it. That was an insufferable time to frequent the board.

Things worked out then, and they'll work out going forward as long as the (D) nominee (Newscum) is kept at bay.

Looking at upvote/downvote distribution, it's indicative that 2028 may be "Team Hillbilly Elligy vs. Team Liddle Marco". Awesome. How about "Team Anyone But Democrat" for once? We can't have nice things, but at least the decline is slower when the GOPe is in charge.

Completely agree. 2012 GOP Primary when we had Newt, pre-TDS Romney, Gary Johnson, Rick Perry, Herman Cain and Ron Paul all discussing ideas without feeling the needs to all shout each other down was pretty good to watch.

Now WWE/Idiocracy style has taken over.

This is not reality in modern politics and never will be.

A public street fight accomplishes nothing but giving talking points and clips to Dems, and plants seeds of resentment that will affect turnout.

Vance hasn't accomplished anything to be worthy of the pick. Maybe at some point in the next few years he will, but as of now, no way. He needs a lot more experience in the actual politics of getting stuff done.

Between these two Vance is far and away my first choice.

I could maybe hold my nose and vote for Rubio but I'm not a fan although he's done well at SOS under Trump's guidance. What he does on his own feet is another matter. Not that I'd vote D if he got the nomination.

Rubio is a gifted speaker and seems to be an honorable/ principled man.

Even when Trump was bashing him, calling him "Little Marco," I don't recall Rubio stooping to that level. Rubio is a very gifted speaker and seems to be an honorable man.
