Yup
I’d imagine you can’t explain exactly why that is the case. Amirite? I mean, surely it/they would have to be pretty distinct and compelling reason(s). Whatcha got, fella?

Rubio is McCain in a sombrero and James David Hamel AKA James Donald Bowman AKA JD Vance seems like a Manchurian Candidate handpicked by Peter Theil.
Neither of these guys gives me any enthusiasm to vote in 2028, and I hope sometime in the next 12 months a different candidate emerges.

Rubio is McCain in a sombrero
McCain’s moniker was maverick. He was a decrepit warmonger who did things his way, everyone else be dammed
Rubio has always toed the party line and has shown the world that it’s possible to execute “America First” policy that genuinely advances our ambitions (particularly in our hemisphere as if it’s a rebirth of Monroe Doctrine) and weakens our enemies without being disproportionately heavy handed. History is going to look back incredibly fondly on his tenure as SecState. He's kicked arse. You can point to shite like his 99-0 confirmation vote as evidence he’s “compromised by the uniparty” or whatever, but it’s way easier to just argue his peers in the chamber knew he’d do the country a great service taking the role
If you aren’t impressed because neither he nor Vance hug far sufficiently right, the current POTUS is the definition of center-right. They’re in fine company

ETA- I feel our foreign policy in the western hemisphere has been amazing so far, but that isn't particularly hard to accomplish when you're the only world power on the landmass.

T.D. Topic/Thread with "reliable" Poll from last week showed "J.D. Crushing Rubio".
Despite the Poll #'s with JD leading 17% I responded/commented that that was NOT accurate nor reality! Everything I explained has evidently played out in 6 days.
I won't elaborate, but I will reiterate a couple of things from my prior posts. #1 I like J.D. as a person and President. Marco is stronger and more Presidential, however. Why? Several reasons, but for now just one, and it's got nothing to do with Marco.
Well, what could that be? Many won't like it or think it valid, but it nonetheless is crucial. It's called "Optics"!
And how does that factor or play?
"THE BEARD"
J.D.'s Beard, vs Marco's Statesmanship & Poise, has & will kill Vances image, campaign and & possibilities as US President.
Say, believe or think how you will. But O P T I C S are Gynormous!

Ironic justice would illegal Hispanics swinging the vote to Rubio over a Democrat

Rubio is more pro-Israel than Vance.

Gang of Eight Neocon. It really isn't that hard to see
Neocon saber rattling entails consistent allusion to force. His is consistently towards sanctions and exerting soft power. They also don’t go this long without playing the “spreading democracy” card. A true neocon can’t wear a fake mask on these fronts without it slipping in their words and actions. They don’t make good diplomats

I quit reading after "If". Rubio will not ever be POTUS!!

It is not a matter of green to me. To win the POTUS election you have to win your base which Vance could do to get the nomination and then circle back to the center to get more independent votes for the general election. This is where I believe Rubio is the better overall candidate.

So...despite what so many on this board say...we DO like career politicians.
We like Rubio and Gaetz here, and both are the very definition of career politician.
JD, on the other hand, actually accomplished a couple things in the private sector for his professional career, before running for political office.

Marco is the template for young brash politicians growing up and preparing themselves for office. When he ran in '16, he was 3 years old than JD is now, and nowhere near ready. 10 years later and he's seasoned enough to withstand whatever gets thrown at him. JD is still too sensitive and needs polish.

Rubio has been a politician since 1998, two years after finishing law school.

Rubio or Vance.

Marco’s interview tonight with Hannity was simply brilliant. You can tell Marco is comfortable and confident in his abilities now. He’s going to be an exceptional President and will continue Trump’s legacy into the 2030s.
