That's not something anyone would want our enemies knowing. This same shite came out within the first two months saying we were running out of tomahawk missiles etc.

I think there is without a doubt the chance that they know this information. I don't think they are blindly making this up. Either someone is providing them highly detailed information that is accurate or they are providing them highly detailed information that is inaccurate.

And honestly, the fact that someone is providing them this information in and of itself is a story. This is widespread reporting which points to the likelihood that there is a large portion of the military apparatus or executive branch that is trying to stop the Iran War effort.

I wouldn’t call the “estimates” bullshite. We know how many missiles and interceptors are produced each year and open sources can give us a decent idea of how many have been fired so far then you just do the math.

It's not quite that easy...you have to have multiple supply chains ramp up simultaneously just to increase production of tomahawk missiles.

That being said Raytheon has signed an agreement to ramp up to 1000 tomahawk missiles per year so it's up to them to figure it out. We have used roughly that amount already in this conflict or maybe even slightly more.

So even with the production ramp up...it would take a year to replenish what we've already used. Most of what we used was in the opening weeks of the conflict...which is normal. There is usually a shock and awe campaign and then a more measured approach after. There is no expected scenario where we'll be burning through hundreds of them in a week going forward.
