I have no idea what's true/not true with her. There are certain decent parents who have kids that stray, especially later in their teens.
But if this is another Conway situation where the parents were going on Sunday morning shows while the daughter was crying for help and doing high risk stuff that is obviously still following her around, yeah, I have no sympathy or respect for their plight.
Quit your political jobs/ambitions and go handle your first calling.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of professing Christians who do not exhibit many fruits of the Spirit. There will be many who are sent to Hell who will be surprised, saying "Lord, Lord", but He will say "I never knew you" because they lived their lives as if they were the Lord rather than submitting to Christ.
I'm not judging Lauren as I don't know her heart, but I hope her heart is in the right place and she is repenting of her sins and trusting in Christ.

Hell, my teenage son said the same thing about me when I kept him from walking away during an argument. Teens are dramatic. At least the father is in the picture, unlike so many other families where the kid runs the show. Everyone has turmoil in their lives at some point.
