Is Texas really in danger of flipping to dems?

When you look at how many Illegal Immigrants, Muslims, and Indians are in Texas now why is this surprising? It’s like people are oblivious to what all that will eventually cause.

They have been working on Texas for years and frankly, Texas has not produced a great Republican candidate since Cruz. Some of the Noem showboating ICE raids probably turned off a number of Hispanics as well.

Abbot is a bit of a surprise but I wonder if Paxton isn't dragging down the ticket.

Well when you have Abbott and Paxton, two extremely unlikable people, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. Not to mention how they hitched their wagon to Trump and the midterm is a referendum on him…

But not just immigrants.....there has been a mass exodus of liberals from California that have gone to Texas, for a purpose. Say what you want about the progressive filth, they plan for down the road. This started years back. Combine the illegals, with this group of liberals, as well as other minorities pouring into the area.....at some point it will turn. BUT, it ain't turning this election. Some of you continue to get fooled by clearly liberal and incorrect polls. It has only been going on forever, yet, you still fall for it.

With these two candidates it’s a coin toss. Cornyn would have been a much better general election candidate.

Yes. It will eventually flip. If not this time, then soon. It’s demographics. And once it flips, this country is pretty much done for, if it isn’t already. Republicans will have no viable path to the White House.

Most of the true believer boot lickers will disregard and downvote, but, i'm in atx. a close friend, a FISCAL conservative, is a senior attorney in the texas ag office. he was not part of the whistleblower crew that lead to paxton's impeachment. but, he despises Paxton. Says the bribes for legal opinions, the favors for his side girlfriend, the attempt to use ag funds to pay his 3mm securities fraud settlement, stealing the guys mont blanc pen, are all true.

there is a difference between politicians that make promises they can't deliver, another to nominate an actual immoral, unethical person.

These are the worst types of candidates. That base is worth about 40% at best. That's not enough.

That base chose Paxton instead of Cornyn. And now that base is in danger of not being able to pull him over the finish line. Increasingly hispanics will take away republican votes. How about a good republican hispanic running?

It's not about dems and reps. It's the fact that the reps in these races are fricking worthless.

Every election the media tries to bullshite a Dem candidate across the finish line but it never works. The polls and the election day results never match. That said, we made things hard on ourselves by picking such a crappy candidate in Paxton. Abbott is an adequate governor with no charisma. Sadly, shallow voters need charisma and undervalue competence.
