Hegseth has done a great job. The results were entirely predictable - he knows what will appeal to those who want to be warriors. The woke Pentagon under Biden was doing exactly the opposite of what was needed. These recruits come for a challenge, to be part of elite units and to have pride in their competence as members of the world's best military. That works far better than offering sex changes and feminine energy.

UT is nothing to write home about either. You can brag that most of your buildings have similar orange roof tiles, but having a campus merged into an urban CBD sucks.

BTW, you picked one of the 2-3 worst buildings on campus because you are a shite-talking chimp. We also have an incredibly nice park next to Kyle and buildings like this:

I must say, the Arky campus was quite a bit nicer than I expected. Kinda like Bama - they are making $ from all those out of state kids and built a lot of nice facilities. Presumably a bunch Walton $ thrown in as well.

My son is touring UF in about a week - we'll see what he reports back.

A&M isn't going to do well in this comparison because the buildings don't adhere to a unifying architectural theme. Other than similar brick color, everything looks like it was built as a one-off and not part of a larger campus. There are some great buildings, but they don't add up to a great campus.

Lincoln was a tyrant who was obsessed with "preservation of the union". Translated into English, that meant "I won the election and I'll sacrifice infinite lives of others to force you to be governed by me". If he's not in Hell, he certainly should be. It is at least fitting that his war, that killed so many Americans, finally claimed his life too.
