I have three ancestors that I know of who fought in the revolution, including a father and son. My wife has three so our kids have six. I should find a chapter near me and get active. Havent really been active in many years.

If the Big 10 took Maryland and Rutgers, its clear they only care about the TV markets in which schools are located. They don't really even look at whether the school can actually DELIVER much of a share of those markets. From that perspective, NC would look pretty good to them.

Bottom line is that UNC is a very weak football add but a solid addition in every other sense. The SEC should probably invite them if the opportunity arises. I'd look really carefully at adding VT instead of UVA. UVA is like the Illinois of the ACC - mediocre programs poorly supported by the university and lukewarm fans, but great academics.

Seems like this has been known by many people for up to 8 years now. Nobody is waiting for their execution in a Gitmo cell. We're all getting pretty tired of waiting.

A lot of people don't seem to understand that Putin is surrounded by hawks who are advocating a limited nuclear strike. They don't think the US will respond in kind just to save eastern Europe and they call the leaders of the European nuclear powers "mice". So if Putin exits the picture, he might be replaced by somebody much worse. Listen to the Russian a-hole in this video...

UNC is not a football power. For whatever reason, being a mainly basketball power isn't nearly as valuable. That's why, for example, the Big 10 hasn't gone after Kansas. I feel Kansas is a natural Big 10 expansion target but there has been no sign of that happening.
