The infuriating thing is when these types of rumored checks do not go out, the folks on SNAP, Section 8 and every other program start spouting off about "the government never does anything for us."

Heard it this morning from some woman in her 60s when I was walking through a post office. Woman was on speaker talking about some Section 8 eligibility situation and the discussion quickly shifted to the $2,000.

She was not optimistic about getting her $2,000.
I can't remember all the particulars of that campaign, but IIRC, she pulled a Biden and appeared once every 2 or 3 weeks just to stand behind a podium and say: "I'm Katie Hobbs."

And she somehow, some way wins the governorship of a whole freaking state.
OK. I'll bite.....

What exactly is Trump supposed to do to push back against a bunch of 30-and-under people in NYC and other places who have decided they want to be lied to about free bus rides and free food/housing, etc?

When their day-to-day lives quickly turn to total shite under Mamdani, I guess I'll get back on here and say: Gee, what a surprise. Who could have possibly seen this coming?

Sen. Schumer has failed to meet this moment and is out of touch with the American people.

So they are still selling that story....that most Americans want the policies offered by her and her peers.
Notice how she says "American people" and not "American citizens."

The coming healthcare disaster caused by Donald Trump

Frick this guy. I guess insanely high healthcare costs have nothing to do with women coming from Mexico, Guatemala, etc., and having babies delivered here for free -- in addition to all the 8th grade dropouts we have who are U.S. born and can't pay for shite due to having no work skills.

this fricking clown ran on the whole concept of “affordability.“ How exactly is this supposed to impact affordability?

It will be affordable for high school dropouts in NYC who do not work.

The Entertainment Value of Dems' Fury

Seeing the reaction of Keith Olbermann and many others is the entertainment I needed going into the work week.
Is it just me.....or even the students who had major disciplinary issues in the 80s and 90s would have never done anything like this?

Shout at a teacher? Yeah

Mace?.....ummmm.....what?
SNAP full extension.....

I get your frustration. Believe me. I have vision impairment and I show up at work every day with no SNAP access.

Unfortunately, it's near impossible to hit fraud with a flamethrower and wipe it out in one swoop. Trump's work on illegal immigration has severely cut down the entrance of new SNAP abusers from outside the U.S. There have been victories even if we can't get one huge KO to solve problems.

Doesn't seem like a great idea. How about eliminate the cannon that fires T-shirts into the crowd, an assistant mascot, some dude who gets on the PA system and says: "It's thirrrddd down.....let's go defense!"

. They are in no way blocked from doing it

You know...other than that whole situation where there is not $8 Billion readily available for the admin to legally distribute to cover the full November payment.

Other than that....they are not blocked from doing it.
Trump offered partial payment, but these fat fricks started signing lower level judicial orders and sending out emails announcing to people it would be 100 percent payment before SCOTUS could provide definitive guidance.

And here we are...

No way....you mean to tell me they have expenses for things like food and tuition....and they are broke as undergrad students.

I don't remember anybody throwing a telethon for me or other guys in my dorm.
Mf-er loading up more 2-liter sodas than the Pepsi/Mountain Dew delivery guy showed up with that morning.

Has this guy ever heard of tea....milk.....coffee?

Hahaha!

In all seriousness, I have vision issues due to being a preemie. Easier for me to get in and out of the store on the way home than do Sam's or Costco.

Not gonna lie....I was OK with 7.99. Thought it was a decent deal for a 30 ounce cooked chicken.

Hell....I might come clear some plates off tables and take orders for $17. Some of the contract jobs I do even now are like $25-30/hour to look over research/transcripts

Don't worry.....a steamer will become SNAP eligible under some new plan if their store does not provide this service.

The SNAP Whiners....

Sick of seeing the crying by people potentially receiving 50 or 67 percent of SNAP in November.

I went to a grocery store last night when I got off work and bought a full 30 Oz lemon pepper chicken for 8 bucks in the hot deli section.

But Dr. B! People can't buy that on SNAP. It's a hot prepared food item! Then scrape together 8 bucks and buy some rice and or flour tortillas and cheese with SNAP. Pull chicken off bone. There's a handful of meals right there to help get you through a week or two.
When people who are self employed lose a client due to financial downturns.....that income drops to zero.

But MfN Gimp is in a tailspin because his shite was gonna go from 100 percent to 67 percent.
