I do not think there can be a 'treaty' with Iran - we have to totally eliminate all their current radical leadership and then set up some sort of protectorate until they learn how to govern by means other than just murdering the opposition.

There is no group of individuals in Iran now that you can make a 'treaty' with - and the ones who are honest have no idea of how to run a country.

They have to learn. But in order to do that we have to first totally eliminate all vestiges of the current radical 'leadership' as well as their military.

I will say that Trump was blindsided and completely unprepared for the level and number of Republicans as there were who very much loudly and openly joined messages with their likewise very loud and open counterparts in the Democrat.

And denouncing Trump with as much gusto in media sponsored opportunities, international media, which then Iran joined the two groups in message as well. Playing on a loop in Iran controlled tv. Leading to total abandonment of trust and hope by every potential Iranian revolutionary fighter that the U.S. would or even could follow through with promises of American military support. All they’re seeing is near civil war conditions in the U.S. on their old black and white tv sets.

No, it needs to be multilateral. The Iranians will not trust Israel to keep their word, and Israel will not trust the Iranians. You need regional involvement and participation from gulf/Arab states to enforce any kind of peace.

But we have to get the nukes! We have nukes, and Israel had nukes. Iran cannot! No peace until we destroy any chance of Iran ever getting a nuke.
