A logical person who is elected for President would only nominate someone he knew he could get the votes for. But muh 5d chess I guess.

You’re very ignorant to current politics then as all of trumps picks will be heavily attacked by the uniparty.

Of course they will be attacked just as everyone's nominees in the recent political landscape. Is Trump not smart enough to know how to handle that? This is a country, we have rules here.

Trump could put up Jesus Christ and they’d still deny it.

He should do that then because so far I think he’s maybe picked one qualified person

Maybe 2?

Does he retake his House seat in January?

I think he can. He resigned from the present Congress and was elected to the next Congress. Unless there's something I'm not aware of, Gates was elected to the next Congress and can take his seat when Congress is sworn in.

If they could’ve kept that report from the public, he’d get strong-armed into the AG position.

By "kept that report from the public" do you mean "suppressed the truth" or "hidden the facts"? Sounds like how the Biden admin wanted to handle the laptop. Is that how the DJT administration is going to work as well?

He's free to run again. It's not like his district would have problems with him.....or he's free to get Rubio's seat

Bring on Paxton

Doesn’t Paxton have looming legal issues as well? I know he got cleared of the thing a year ago but I thought he had something else he had to fight as well?

List every single member of biden's cabinet who you believe is more qualified than Trump's nominee.

You will not even attempt to do that because you are just another naysayer chickenshit.

That is what I gather as well. The question will be...will he want to with the whole ethics complaint thing

O'Reilly saying on Sexton show that Hegseth and RFK won't be in the cabinet either

O'Reilly is a bozo, imo - but Hegseth and RFK are far less likely to be approved today than they were yesterday.

No way to spin this as a win. It is not a big deal if this is it, but this puts a dent in the "mandate" talk and shows opponents - whether Democrat or Republican - that you can stand up to Trump and beat him less than 3 weeks after the big election win. Even just trying to make the process as chaotic as possible into late January and early February hurts the movement.

He survived an impeachment, but there is an ongoing criminal case (it has been around for a long time, but probably isn't going anywhere). Paxton would be a step up from Gaetz, but the thing that should be concerning is that his own department turned on him, after he'd been in office for years. If he can't control a state AG's office (much smaller than DOJ, and has no criminal prosecution wing), how is he going to manage the DOJ?

Rubio, Mike Huckabee, Dr Oz, Doug Collins, Burgum, Lutnick, Whitaker, and Ratcliff, will get in with enough votes from each side.

Zeilden has worked with Schumer in the past and get with votes from both sides.

Would be hilarious for the Senators who wouldn't confirm him for him to join their ranks and become their colleague. Doubt it happens though

While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition.

Doesn't sound like the fighter the board said he was.
