That whole album is GREAT. Fight me.

Little known fact: Kid Cudi said it was the first album he ever bought - if you've wondered why he hums so much in his raps.

I think Stykes, Reese, Bailey and Love will be gone.

I think our choice will come down to Bain or Tate and I’ll be happy with either given the circumstances.
In this scenario I think they go with Downs which would fill the Alontae void.

Love, Reese, Styles, Bailey. I would be happy with any of these
Love your list, but the point of this thread is not to list who we want, but to give odds on who the Saints might realistically pick at 8, taking into account who is likely to be available.

From your list? Unless every mock is wrong I don't think there is any scenario where Reese or Bailey make it to 8, and I'm 90% sure Styles will be gone as well.

This is basically where I am. I've just given up hope on Styles making it to 8. Seeing him mocked as early as 2.
Obviously before free agency it's hard to predict anything, but what's your gut telling you the Saints will do, taking into account who is likely to be available at pick 8. I'm gonna say

40% Love
30% Downs
20% Bain
10% other (Tate, Delane, Lemon, Tyson)

I just don't believe Reese, Styles, or Bailey will be available at #8. I'd take any of those if they slide. One or all of my 3 may be gone as well, but I think 2 of the 3 are likely there.

I don't think they pass on most analysts #1 player in Love if he's there, positional value be damned. But there's at least a 50% chance he's gone before we pick.

Downs seems like a safe pick and is more likely to be available, could really fill a need assuming Alontae leaves as expected.

I have no idea how Staley feels about Bain's arm length. I know DA would never have drafted him, but he was arguably the best defensive player in college football last year, T. Rex or no. Pass rushers are so valuable, if Staley loves him he could get picked over Downs.

I don't see the Saints drafting a WR at 8, the value at that position seems better in the 2nd round. Mansoor Delane could be a wildcard.

Great list

Obviously Google pulled a list from preseason, at least early in the season before Nabers injury. Nevertheless, you get the point. It's not unreasonable to discuss Malik as a top 10 caliber WR, regardless of the school he went to.

Assuming we don't get Love at 8...

would you be happy with Mike Washington Jr. in the 2nd round? Too soon? Obviously depends on who else is available but he seems to be emerging as the consensus RB2. He did well at Senior Bowl and ran a 4.33 at the combine.

Mike Washington Jr. transitioned successfully to the SEC in 2025, leading Arkansas with 1,070 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 167 carries while adding 226 receiving yards. His standout senior season followed a productive 2024 campaign at New Mexico State, where he rushed for 725 yards and eight scores. For his efforts, he was recognized as a Second-team All-SEC selection by both the league's coaches and the Associated Press. Washington is a versatile back with impressive vision and a dual-threat skill set that allowed him to average 6.4 yards per carry against high-level competition.

Our experience at Catholic High was 100 times better.
Funny, I feel the exact opposite. We found Catholic High overly focused on discipline at the expense of helping those boys actually learn in class and be ready for college academics (unless you were a good football player, then you got all the support you needed along with lower discipline standards). St. Joseph's was incredibly supportive and prepared my daughter for entrance exams and college waaay better than Catholic did for my son. Also, there were and are openly gay boys at Catholic.

Really good movie and Buckley deserves best actress, That said, knowing the kid was doomed from the start made it difficult to enjoy the first half of the movie - I was just waiting for the inevitable. Once they bit that bullet, the movie became much more interesting and the ending was great.
For a 2nd? Probably. For a 3rd, for sure.

ter looking at Fano and Mauigoa’s full combine, they didn’t hurt themself. Fano killed all the drills and Mauigoa’s arms were longer than previously reported. They are the wildcards in the top 10 that can really sway who falls to us
Agree. For the Saints it all comes down to the tackles. If two, or please God three, OT go before #8, the Saints can get an elite player. If the OTs slide, we're in trouble.

IMO Washington is going to pair Jeremiyah Love with Jayden Daniels that’s if Love impresses at combine which I think he will, I would love to draft Styles, Reese, Bailey or Downs at #8.
Bobby Wagner is 137 years old, and a free agent. Styles all the way for Washington, if he's still there.

Didn't need another thread.
You misspelled his name.
And he will not be there when the Saints are picking. No way Washington would pass, if he's not picked earlier.
