Zero confidence in anything changing as long as crane stays at the controls.
My theory is this was one of the conditions after the 2017 controversy. May be wrong here but I thought Crane gave Luhnow an open field to operate with complete autonomy across the organization when he hired him. As terms to back off the investigation MLB may have required Crane to be more involved / implement more governance and what we see now is a side effect of that

The sooner the crumbling Hollywood industry barriers fall the better. The entire business model needs to change. From development/creative to distribution and consumption.
There is still a massive demand for quality / intelligent content.
Smaller, niche studios need to spring and compete and sell good content to the highest bidder - whether it’s to a streaming platform or theater chain.
Ben Affleck kind of touched on this in that Rogan interview that AI should allow smaller/startup players to scale and compete. It’s not about outsourcing writing or creative but eliminating G&A bloat/ production costs that make the movie business so challenging to execute profitably.

This does not work. They require proof of enrollment

He was good in his first few years. He either got neutered by cbs production for calling plays before they happened or stop caring with big contract or maybe both
Aren’t “cash only” businesses pretty much extinct now? With everyone paying with credit idk how you do this anymore

Gas prices rise quickly because stations expect to pay more for new inventory, but they lower prices more slowly while selling higher-cost inventory already in their tanks

In the late 70s what is now Battery Park in lower Manhattan was a temporary beach.

Good finale.
Did Alamo’s bodyguard know Ali? Maybe from the meetings? Wondering I missed something.

This the darkest material that’s come out on a mainstream platform in a while.
Campy and absurd but the deep despair all the characters find themselves in is intense and nauseous to watch.
I’m entertained

Then why are we actively negotiating with them?

This show injects the worst of the worst of modern American culture into your veins. It’s so vile that you can’t help but keep watching.
Rose should win this. He keeps hanging around. Its time.

Milei eliminated the housing crisis in Buenos Ares in 10 months by greatly reducing zoning restrictions on building new housing, eliminating rent controls, and reducing restrictions on cohabitation. No reason to think a similarly radical approach couldn’t have similar results in NYC. Our housing shortages in this country tend to be caused by artificially restricting the supply of housing and making insane demands upon developers to eliminate potential expansions of housing stock. This is all to protect older residents and existing landlords.
Thomas Sowell covers this in depth in one of his books. Forget which one.
While agree I think this is better applied to places like California with vast amounts of land to build that is currently restricted.
