I’m the son of a multi-generational farm family and brother of a farmer. I just have one question. How big of a government check are you wanting?

Welcome to the rest of America. The folks in the rust belt have been dealing with your ills for about seventy years now. Ask the line workers that use to work at Callahan Auto Parts how they felt when Tommy Boy sent the production line to Mexico and China in 1995.
Did we hear you bitching and moaning about Bill Clinton back then? Nope, you were getting farm subsidies and driving a new F250.

This caused exports in soy, pork, and wheat to almost be cut in half.
So Trump is making farmers be logical and grow/raise things needed for our country instead of growing things other countries need?
How many small farms have you put out of your business in your 4 generations of farming?

I have ZERO sympathy for you. You voted for this, and you got it. My tax money should not be bailing out people like you.

We need that corn for Bush's energy policy of 2005 putting Ethanol in gasoline. What a scam that has been.

Sorry about the impact.
It’s happening to timber farmers too.
People don’t realize how this all works. They just need male leadership in their lives and love the rhetoric so Trump can do no wrong.

Farmers are the biggest welfare queens in this country. Bailed out all the time. Paid for the dumbest programs like bat houses and all kinds of crap by USDA. Zero free market in farming. If you are a fourth generation farmer you hit the lottery. Congrats on all the land and F-250s.

Oh look...a farmer crying for the Government to ensure he can sell his crops at a high price or subsidize him more.
Every soybean farmer family from my hometown all had huge houses and drove the newest vehicles but would cry and cry about how poor they were because the cost to operate and the market rate, then they would get that fat subsidy from Uncle Sam and all was well again. Pretty obvious that some of them were lying about their losses to get larger welfare checks.

Prices and markets fluctuate with policy changes at the governmental level every single day. It’s just happening to people like you now, because your industry has been heavily subsidized for decades, so you’re upset and lashing out.
It actually appears that YOU don’t realize how this all works.

You don’t have a right to charge anything other than market rate.
You obviously have no clue how farming and the marketing of commodities work. Unlike other businesses who set a price for their product, farmers must accept what is offered on the Chicago Board of Trade less any fees assessed by the local elevator. Any political whim can have a disastrous effect of prices.

The sycophants on here need to understand that there are legitimate reasons for conservatives strongly disliking Trump.
Legitimate conservatives oppose all the farm subsidies.

. Soybean farmers take a hit for one crop cycle till the dust settles and is given money by Trump to make up the difference which will improve next year and you’ll make more money because of less tariffs.
Farmers suck at understanding economics thus many go broke.

Ethanol in gasoline
Of all the greenwashing attempts over the years this is the biggest hoax of all. Can’t compete with 100% gasoline, even at high oil prices, without massive subsidies. That shite has ruined more small engines than can be counted.
And it’s driven up the price of virtually everything we eat. ADM pays congressional members a shite ton of money to ensure this BS continues. Makes my blood pressure go through the roof.

We're supposed to have sympathy because you lost your Chinese market? Why are you selling to China?
